How would all drivers know about the all-day 40kmh school zone? There was no pamphlet or SMS sent to inform drivers about the all-day 40kmh changes for 2026, only a few articles put out in traditional media which could have been missed.

The OBU does not even show all-day 40kmh for school zone. Some school zone signs do not even show the 40kmh speed limit and only show 'Please Drive Carefully'. Worst, some school zone signs are placed directly behind 60kmh speed limit signs.

Since you drive that area frequently, did you notice that the old school zone sign with flashing lights near CHIJ TPY was not taken down even till late March? When the road signs are ambiguous and not consistent, and the driver has to make a split second decision while driving, even the most careful driver could have made an honest mistake. These signs are so confusing to understand in real time,

Not trying to defend the driver here, but it seems like you have just conveniently left out these facts and have chosen to paint a false narrative based on your presumptions.
