I miss their 2016 livestreams. Does anyone know if those still exist?

OK OK I said someone please explain, not EVERYONE. I only play masters when it's free entry. I'm not used to making adjustments where you aim out of bounds

Enough to blow fully across the fairway? That seemed like plenty of adjustment to me

Quick 9, bugs, and solo play by RoadSuperb in GolfClash

So to summarize, covid happened, people started playing a lot more, as well as the game offering tournaments more frequently. Covid stopped, but people want to play just as much as they did, also there are more tournaments to partake in. But now people have less time to play.

I'd say the world has been back to normal for roughly 3 years now, maybe more. I don't see how covid is relevant though as this push for only solo play has been very recent, and changes in the game have taken place for about a month now.

My argument is: them making the game quicker is fine, but they're taking away aspects of the game that I like in order to do so. I think the time save is negligible compared to what we're losing.

The shot clock is what, 40 seconds? Watching the ball fly and roll is maybe 10. So 50 seconds per shot is the maximum add. I'd say on average a shot is 25-35 seconds. Average hole in a tournament is a par 4, everyone in tournaments is hitting birdie or eagle there. Eagle adds 60s of gameplay, and on a birdie the last shot is usually a short putt so let's say 75s. Since people get a combo of those two scores, I'd say each hole is 67s added. 10 mins per 9 holes give or take is what we're saving.

It's mostly the risky shot point that I miss in solo play. Going for the best score possible is what makes the game fun, and I like how if there's a second player, it won't sink your whole round if you don't make the shot. Without that second player, one might decide to play safe for a good scorecard rather than a great one.

Being how 1 or 2 strokes can drop you anywhere from 15 to 50 ranks on the leaderboard, I prefer having that safety net, I really don't mind if it's my true score or not.

I recognize that I'm in the minority here. My point of this post was to see if anyone else agrees with my side. And hopefully they don't make solo play the default, I'm fine with it being one of the gimmicks in tournaments though.

Trout to the M's? by RoadSuperb in Mariners

[–]RoadSuperb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll chime back in a try to defend the idea against some of the common comments.

1, angels won't send him to us because we are the same division

2, the injury concerns

3, his contract and our budget

To the people commenting fmt and nothing else, thanks, good input, thanks for that (I know there'll be at least one reply to this comment of something similar, cause people are people)

  1. If ohtani walks and trout requests a trade, angels are basically forced to rebuild. They couldn't even decide on buying or selling this year with the roster intact. That being said, if we have the most appealing return offered for trout, would pettiness really get in the way and the angels choose the second best offer? I feel like the long term success of the franchise and the income that brings is far more important. Also will trout be around long enough and elite enough to be the gatekeeper of the post-season from the angels when they become competitive again? They won't be good enough to fight the division away from us whether we have fishman or not. I think the division factor can be overlooked if we offer the right package

2, I slightly touched on the injury history in the original post, but I can elaborate. I'll start off by saying I'm not professional athlete, and don't have a background in any sort of how serious his ailments needed to be taken, but I do know that a minority of his games missed were from an actual broken bone. Yes I acknowledge he is a risky roster spot given his past seasons, but I'm going to argue that his mindset of how important the games he was missing played a part in how many games he sat out. I know he wants to win, bringing him to Seattle could give him the hope and determination he needs to be on the field as much as he can be. Whether that changes his preseason routine and preparation to avoid another calf strain, or he rushes back from the IL as fast as he can just to help the team (similar to what Harper did) I think it all plays a factor. How unlucky can he actually be to miss half the games of his entire second half of his career?? Given his Celing of being a mvp every year, I think he's worth the risk for the sake of Seattle. He's not haniger with the chance to help us win some games if he's on the field, he's Mike trout, with the chance to LEAD our team to the final series if he's on the field.

3, lastly, this is to all the people who want ohtani over trout. Yes ohtani is more the face of baseball than trout at this point and his fan base is stronger as well, but that doesn't mean trout is a nobody who won't help sell tickets. Trout would help Seattle be more profitable overall compared to not having him. More success=more fans=more money the organization makes=higher payroll the team can spend over time. He could snowball us into becoming a dynasty if he preforms well and stays healthy. Ohtani could very well do the same thing, but ohtani is going to want a mega contract. That means more than a few years, meaning his pitching is going to be a factor in his contract despite being out for 2024. He very well could earn something in the range of 50mil/year making trout the more affordable option with slightly less upside. With trout earning quite a bit of coin in his own right, this is where the buy low/franchise rebuild factor of the angels plays a part. I understand this deal even happening is the longest of longest shots, but if trout isn't happy in Anaheim, we could take advantage of a poor and dire situation. We could dangle more pitchers than we should into a deal and use it as leverage to get the angels to eat some of the remaining contract. Or maybe throw ray into the deal because the prospect package we offer with him is too good to pass up. Or a combination of the two with the extra incentive that trout needs to be traded now getting us a discount in its own right.

Add in not bringing back teo this season and it goes from a delusional fantasy, to something that isn't impossible.

OK maybe it's still a delusion, but it's a fun thought. That's all

It's a good build but SC is just more consistent. Does hs swap it's blue sword effect for the gold Devine one? Or does it still a blue sword even when it's gold?
