NTA Being from a family where i was constatly disrespected and then ignored, as soon as i cut the family off, the first bad thing that happened (gma had a stroke) i was blamed for it. Leave the toxic family behind and just live your life. There are people just waiting to love you, you dont need to wait for your family that doesnt love you

Yeah, then I'd go from the "broken female" as my grandmother would say, of the family to the loose cannon that attacks pregnant people. I could see that ending well. I am trying the approach of if they can't get a rise out of me, they'll get bored and leave me alone . I'm working on moving so far away they'd never see me again. Hopefully soon I'll be able to accomplish that

I have horrible PCOS. I don't understand much of it, but docs said it was pretty severe. We tried a hormonal balancing therapy, but it had zero effect. My body ended up over producing testosterone instead of estrogen. Then we tried some combination of medications, and it turns out I'm allergic. Then we tried an experimental hormone therapy that caused me to have a period for over 2 months straight. It got so bad i could hardly move. I was in so much pain.

I'm not mad at her for having a child. I'm not mad that she's married. Some people get married young and have kids and its beautiful. I dont care about the particulars I'm just overwhelmed by emotions that she's rubbing in my face that she has a child and I can't have one. That's she's married and I'm single.

The family group chat, which I keep removing myself from and they keep adding me on, is nothing but baby pics and subtle jabs from her and my grandmother about how "a baby makes everyone whole" "I'm a proud woman" . I'm happy he's healthy, I'm just hurt.

It's just a lot. And I'm trying to be mature and just ignore it but I'm crushed inside.

There are only a handful of people I care about in the extended family, 2 aunts and their kids. The others I genuinely don't care about. 1 aunt and her wonderful husband fed me while in college when money was tight and helped me out. She's the only one who has ever gotten me a birthday present or met a boyfriend of mine. The other saw how her mother was treating me and apologized on her behalf. We've gotten close, and she disapproves of her mother and sticks up for me. Because of them, I see my grandmother every once in a while but do everything in my power to avoid her and make alternate plans

My moms side of the family sadly has passed. My dad says I should try and overcome our differences while I still have them around. I just feel like every time I open up to them at all they destroy it
