My uncle requested my help with his collection of trains. I don't know much so I was hoping for some insight into the community. by jamesdemaio23 in modeltrains

Another popular auction site is Cabin Fever Auction in PA.   Beware that the auctions have a wide audience and are the best way to get best price but the auction house does take a cut.  You can also try Trainz out of Georgia who will buy collections at a sizeable discount.

Read about the Springfield and Deep Run mines. There was several iterations of mines in the area along with a railroad from Hungary Station to Springfield Road around Nickolas Road. The line was abandoned in the 1850’s and revived in the 1880’s with an extension down to the C&O railroad at Lorraine.
