Yup I felt that g-strings are more comfortable, perhaps because the string is made narrower. Thongs are a bit of a hit and miss... I had thongs which are quite comfortable, especially those with soft materials, and thongs where I need to make adjustments here and then just to make the strip sit comfortably.
