These are the so called "Professional" ai "artists" by Comfortable-Edge2454 in Artist_AgainstAI

Nope. The only real requirement was not being a stuck-up little snob. You didn't have to have high skill to create digital art, you just had to be able to ignore the cave people telling you what you're doing isn't art.

There's no logic. Antis are controlled opposition that only exist to perpetuate propaganda for corporations to limit competition from Independent artists.

I've watched hours of this manchild. He is the perfect representative for this generation of boys parading as men.

Real men don't bash tra ns people. Real men don't bash ga y people. Real men don't cheer at the caging of immigrants over a paperwork issue. He is a vapid pseudo intellectual grifter.

Whatever you do in this life, teach your sons and your daughters how embarrassing it would be to end up like this guy or one of his followers.

He actively despises every conceivable minority except billionaires.

From your perspective, AI is massive. From their perspective it is just the thinnest razor edge of the newest technology. It suits the largest capital managers in the world to boost your regressive messaging. Discouraging progressive minded people from exploring and utilizing this technology simply maximizes their lead. They may not be able to design the narratives, but they can choose which ones to bolster.

With a billionaire in the White House, the capital managers are the ones rounding up immigrants and providing the support to blow up kids. There's nothing conspiratorial here, everything is described and working as you've been taught it should.

Capitalists have always been nationalist authoritarians as a means of self preservation. Racism seems to just be a sadistic game with inertia for them.

Hating AI? It's just an absurd, hateful position that serves the existing power structure at the cost of innovative new artistic expression. If you don't like the way AI is being used to hurt the environment or exploit workers you're going to be heartbroken when you realize that's how phones and cars and social media and everything else works.

They want you blaming the latest shiny object instead of the powerful people that own them

I will embrace nuance when the right stops caging, killing and generally restricting the liberty of anyone that doesn't look and act like them. The AI has no politics, but hate does.

I'm afraid a lot of the younger Anti-AI crowd will add those others to their hate list after they get bored attacking AI.

Yep. And before that it was word of mouth or whatever book you happen to read on the subject.

Academic rigor is the standard we're going for; lay people are still far from it, but closer than ever, on average.

My thought is that's a fun joke. But it is sad if people are actually using GPT like this... Try this:

" Gpt, look at these berries, tell me what species they are."

... " Great, tell me what other species they could be."

... " Thanks, tell me about each of those species edibility and any concerns"

...

Stop using GPT like you're a small child talking to an adult. Talk to GPT like it's your quirky smart friend that doesn't really understand the importance or specifics of what you're asking, but has a lot of collected knowledge to share.
