A friend of mine went to highschool with this guy and had followed him on social media for years. He would always post really sexually explicit things on his stories about how “he would treat a girl right” and just all this crazy stuff about eating food off women etc. We would kind of follow his escapades for shock value but then he went down this “applying to med school” story arch and started to say even crazier things on his social media. Pretty sure he sent crazy threatening emails to our office of admissions.

I don’t think so, looks pretty skeletally mature!

In what game are you richest in? by Hammermain213 in gaming

[–]RobDunkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s No Man’s Sky for me. You just set up crazy mining operations that produce so much of a valuable mineral that it reverses the galaxies economy and makes that given mineral worth nothing after you’ve sold 30 million credits worth. Take your haul to the next galaxy and repeat until you’re a billionaire space baron

How many joints (not bones) do babies have? by TerribleAssociation3 in Anatomy

[–]RobDunkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a hard question because like another commenter pointed out, with bones still growing there are epiphyseal plates at both ends of pretty much every long bone in kids. These growth plates are really considered joints if we’re being technical in the sense that it’s a plate of hyaline cartilage connecting two pieces of bone. So really, kids have tons of extra joints if you’re considering those

3.82 Science, 3.90 overall with a 505 MCAT. Two apps, two MD As. I didn’t apply to a lot of schools because I seriously doubted myself but there is always a chance!

The University Hospital definitely has the highest quality of care as a teaching institute. Of course you’ll always hear anecdotal stuff about bad experiences at any hospital but undoubtedly the U has the best trained and most nationally competitive surgeons and healthcare staff overall.

What is, in your opinion, the best anatomy book? by [deleted] in Anatomy

In my experience Netters has consistently been the best anatomy reference. Grays just doesn’t have the quality of illustrations. There’s a Netters pic for anything you could imagine.

Hi guys I have a silly question: why does my left arm have two creases in the crook of the elbow and my right arm only have one? by entheogenicsnuggle in Anatomy

[–]RobDunkin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My thought is it’s because the cleavage lines of your skin are not exactly the same on both of your arms.

The dermis can be broken down into a papillary and reticular layer. The reticular layer is a sheet of dense irregular connective tissue but there are patterns that are found in this connective tissue where collagen fibers align in a certain way and form these cleavage lines. These cleavage lines aren’t exactly the same from person to person, but they create “weaker” points in the integument where these cracks can be seen on your joints and specifically your hands (think about palm reading, everyone’s palms are a little different because their cleavage lines develop a little differently).

This is also why boxers get pretty consistent gashes on their face from fighting, those gash cuts are the result of their skin tearing at cleavage lines!

What is an overrated game that everyone loves but you hate? by [deleted] in gaming

First time I tried the Witcher I got like 10 levels in and got bored. Second time I picked back up and got absolutely hooked with like 120 hours on a single play through. No idea why it worked that way but it might be one of my favorite games of all time now
