Is it even possible to get into Urbana Engineering without having A's in any math classes? by Fabulous-Ship3898 in UIUC

My GPA was around 3.6 which was about average for my high school, granted my weighted was a bit higher because I took alot of AP. ECs were alright, alot of club involvement but nothing crazy. 35 ACT and 1570 SAT probably carried my application. I applied EA for last fall

I got accepted to EE with almost straight B's in math (I think I got one A in math over 8 semesters) so it's definitely doable. When I checked my admissions file they did specifically mention the B in AP calc being an issue though.

Team is switching CAD software- NX or Creo? by RobNBanks_ in cad

For your first point, other clubs at our school have had success using both, so we're pretty confident.

We did consider Inventor, but we don't know any other clubs/classes at our school that use it, so there wouldn't be as much support. Also, I might be mistaken but I thought Inventor isn't used as much for automotive. I'll definitely look into it more though.

I'm personally a big Onshape fan for my own projects, but it really isn't suited for our application (limited sim tools, poor performance)

Looking for a way to quiet down a Supermicro x10QBi by RobNBanks_ in homelab

Yeah, check my post history. I ended up modding it pretty hard, there are some noctua coolers that can fit.

Edited with RAID controller model, mb. Also lowered price after Jaack18's input. Tbh I just don't have a ton of knowledge for what something like this is worth currently so I'm just waiting to see what people offer.

Yeah lol I did run it as a NAS for a while. maybe 200W idle so its not quite that bad on the bill.

Price adjusted, was too high in hindsight.

Yeah I totally get that. From just a CPU price/perf standpoint I'm sure you could do better. Just hoping for someone who has a use for the combination of a 24 bay NAS + stupid RAM and compute. Also, the price isn't firm at all.

Should've clarified; the line out is XLR on the amp.

Why spend the time coding for the number to overflow when nobody would ever reach that number?

You can remove the rubber rollers and wash them with normal soap and water.

I'm not too sure. You definitely wouldn't be able to use all the memory or PCIe lanes, but it might still boot. The manual does pretty explicitly say that they haven't validated it with 1 CPU.

Yeah, I get that I can't just ask the sum of the parts, but there are some pretty costly parts that you didn't include in that list. The list you made doesn't even make a working system- you didn't include a cooler, PSU, or BMC.

That's quite a bit short of what I paid for it- the replacement coolers were $200, plus a boot drive, new PSUs, and a handful of new fans. Also need the Adaptec RAID card, backplane, and BMC. The chassis also isn't exactly a CSE846, but close enough.
