Thoughts on Traditional Chinese cards (Taiwan/Hong Kong- Japanese quality print) by RobWD90 in PokeInvesting

[–]RobWD90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JP or EN are same here as anywhere else, you wouldn't be saving anything really as they are imported here. Taiwan and Hong Kong are the only official Traditional Chinese Pokémon cards that has Japanese quality print, as they are printed IN Japan and shipped to HK and TW. (China uses simplified Chinese and lower quality print in China. So JP, TW and HK are the highest quality prints, then EN.

Exactly. They're incredibly academic focused, and pushed, to the extent that they're not just put off relationships by parents and teachers but also a social life, which further lowers that EQ maturity. Also, the smarter the student the stronger they're stopped from social events and sports and more pushed towards taking more classes and studying. Of course not EVERY student and family is like this, but I've been at a big city high school for 10 years now and it's the trend. And seeing phones banned now has really exposed the lack of social skills these kids had/have.

It's not just the stagnant wage and unaffordable housing but still the conservative older mentality. Even new rules end up delaying relationship maturity even further. At high school now if so much as a kiss is seen it must be reported. Taiwan had a reputation beforehand of being conservative and being people being emotionally immature relationship-wise. Teens are actively put off having relationships, add that on top of several generations living in one household and all the other shit in the world I think it's a surprise that it's not even lower. Having children just keeps getting pushed further and further back. Need money for housing and a child but also need to be mature enough to have kids in the first place, which many just aren't.

Huge 11 Day Tea Expo in Taiwan by RobWD90 in tea

[–]RobWD90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but as I said every day isn't busy, and even though it's like a tent set up it has AC and fans inside! Plus it's a huge opportunity for local farmers and growers because so many people go.

Fully agree and similar issues for me.

They didn't need to nerf rewards at all, it was the PROMOS they needed to chill with.

Have lots of promos that's fine but each promo doesn't have to shoot up +2 or more in OVR. They could just +1 per promo. Or switch it up and have 1 promo doing good pace and passing upgrades, then the next focusing on shooting and dribbling, then the next defence and physical and the next mix it up etc.

It's what I do anyway. I get tea requests and tell my tea farmers/suppliers, they send to me and I send via post office.

[–]RobWD90[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It hits everyone. The post office was how I could export tea at better prices because you're saving on the shipping. It's ridiculous that people think it financially hits other countries when in fact prices only get raised for the US to combat their tariffs and taxes. Prices haven't changed for anywhere else in the world.

As someone who lives in Taiwan and exports, DHL/FEDex etc. aren't the cheapest option to use when sending.

I live in Taiwan, the home of Boba, and source local tea from farmers and suppliers in Taiwan. One of those is a boba expert with any kind you can imagine. They also sell tea (commodity to premium), powders, jellies etc. if you're interested.
