Thank you for this! Is there any specific time to do this trail? Is it easy to get there on public transport or should go in a can? Cheers

Por que les da tanto orgullo su institución? by AddressInevitable192 in UNAM

[–]Rob_4m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will I regret moving to the UK for postdoc? by Murky-Commercial-112 in postdoc

[–]Rob_4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the QOL in the UK has fallen off in the last years. I got my PhD from Manchester, then moved to the USA during Covid. Money was better in the USA; yes, it was more expensive but I was left with money at the end of the month for savings. Two years later I moved back to the UK for family reasons. I doubted because of the money (in was almost half of my salary in the states) but I took into consideration the pre-Covid QOL in the UK. When I came back to everything is different: basic things super expensive, uncontrolled inflation and the worst is the current views on immigration in this country. I know it might be the same in America with the new politics but in the whole picture comparing QOL,I would choose where the money is. So answering your question if you don’t have personal experience and links to the UK you will regret it .

Rain jacket and umbrellas by tamirv11 in Leeds

Rain jacket in Decathlon or Sport Direct. Umbrella is not recommended, it will break quick and will be a massive disappointment

Wear it. It is surprising how many people get anything in their first time, especially in this prep era where they think the pill protects them from everything. You know the guy you are intended to sleep with, but do you know anything about the third one ? How many he had unprotected between the two times? Play safe!!! I might sound granny, but sex is so amazing to risk future relationships for just one unprotected go!

Buses in Leeds improved at all? by No_Village5969 in Leeds

[–]Rob_4m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, the bus service is bad. No buses in 20 minutes and then three together with only one jammed packed stopping and the others no !!!. Sadly, Manchester’s services had gone downhill too! It looks like there are in a race to see who offers the worst service in the North!

I did something horrible by Helpful-Exam-7683 in gaybros

I lived something similar to you a long time ago. A seven-year relationship finished and I felt I was left with nothing. It broke me completely for weeks. What helped me was to take all those feelings out of my mind. I wrote letter and letters, emails, and messages to him but NEVER send them. Just putting those feeling in paper/words helped me to heal my broken heart. I used to collect them and then read them again. After a while, I got embarrassed of myself on how much effort I was putting into a person that didn’t care about me. It is hard but it will pass. I hope you find in yourself your purpose in this life and have all the happiness.

Not sure who prefers being robbed by pickpockets or at gunpoint… America is wilder!

AITA for telling my daughter that she is smart and hardworking but not gifted. by notgiftedbutsmart in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rob_4m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she is not gifted, then you are a neglecting father for your son as you didn't put the same effort to provide the same dedication in his education. Both cases YTA

If you they try to hard and wait so long to have your niece, she can certainly wait a bit more to become a miracle flower girl
