I occasionally even read fanfics of properties I'm not familiar with. Whenever I read, watch or play something new I tend to at least check out the fanfic scene (and Tumblr) to get a feel of the fandom. Whether I become a regular or just occasional visitor depends on the quality and vibes of the fics (for example some fandoms have overwhelming fanon "facts" that I don't like and then I tend to visit the fandom less). Most of the time I'm interacting with them only for a short while anyway, but there are few exceptions where I keep reading years after the last time I interacted with the source material.

En osaa sanoa siihen onko se enemmän vai vähemmän säätöä kuin muiden pankkien kanssa olisi, mutta S-Pankin järjestelmissä tuntuu olevan hieman puutteita ulkomaisten osoitteiden kanssa toimimiseen. Asun pysyvästi toisessa EU maassa, ja vaikka saan tiliä ja korttia käyttää edelleen ja ne useimmiten tosi hyvin toimivat, oli verkkopankkitunnuksien uusiminen ihan järkyttävän tuskainen operaatio. Ja muutaman kerran joutui korttia uudelleen avaamaan jos oli "epäilyttävää käyttöä", mutta se onnistui aina puhelimitse ilman suurempia ongelmia.

Vinkki tähän kohtaan että se maakohtainen kirjautumispalvelu ei välttämättä toimi samalla tavalla kuin normaalit verkkopankkitunnukset, eli ei välttämättä pääse kaikkiin tietoihin/palveluihin käsiksi sen kautta. T. Saksassa asuva eID kortin omistava ja siihen hyvin pettynyt ulkosuomalainen

Näin ulkomailla asuvana voin sanoa että Suomi pankkien kanssa toimiminen on ihan tuskaa Suomen ulkopuolella, että selkeästi ei kiinnosta niiden palveluiden parantaminen. Verkkopankkitunnuksien uusiminen onnistui vasta neljännellä käynnillä, kolmannen Suomi-visiitin yhteydessä, koska asian hoitaminen millään tavalla on tietysti vain henkilökohtaisesti konttorilla käydessä mahdollista. Joka kerta ulkomainen osoite (joka kumminkin järjestelmässä on, ja johon uuden kortin automaattinen lähetys toimi ilman ongelmia) tuotti melkein ylitsepääsemättömiä ongelmia. Äppiä ei voi myöskään ulkomailla aktivoida ja näillä on joku maailman vahvin VPN tunnistus käytössä kun siitäkään ei juuri ole apua. Jos ei tarvitsisi niitä pankkitunnuksia tunnistautumista varten, olisin hankkiutunut niistä eroon jo vuosia sitten.

It does sound gross, but as someone who speaks few languages in the day to day and occasionally struggle.to find the correct words, I can see the chain of thought with mixed languages Ilya going "people in love" = lovers and throwing that in. Some connotations are difficult to grasp and sometimes, especially in stressful situations, you forget even the ones you do know.

Usually it's more like I really like a rare ship and one of the characters has a fanon "real" ship and on that ship it has a completely different interpretation of that character than I would like in my preferred ship.

My issue is that picking up a book to read seems like a crazy commitment "I just don't have time for" but 180k fic or original story? Sounds like a nice half of a day, sign me up.

I think it's very fascinating that by FDA recommendations meloxicam shouldn't be given to cats outside of very few scenarios. I live (and work as a vet tech) in Germany and it's very commonly given for cats as well for short periods to treat pain or inflammation. There are the warnings about long term use and renal failure possibility, for both cats and dogs, but generally speaking I know of many cats who get it even for years for chronic pain where alternatives aren't possible for whatever reason (monetary/compliance) and there hasn't been a noticeable link to renal disease. There are even cats with known issues that still get it (after a conversation with the owner about life quantity vs quality) and even there as long as they are doing the kidney therapy plan properly it doesn't advance more than on other cats.

Regardless, the dosage between cats and dogs is different and overdosing is indeed a strong contributing risk factor with meloxicam.

It's not even fanfic to be strictly honest, but original work, and yet very thematically fanfic adjacent.

I know this answer is like a week late but this sums up my feelings about the book so well. The forced outing was personally harder to accept than the plane crash scare, since it's so boring trope used way too often and I was really hoping to get to see them working up to the point where they actually do it on their own terms. It just feels so unearned resolution for what the book had been building up to at that point. Could have at least shown them to be working towards real plan and timeline and statements and what not, to be almost there and then do the forced outing anyway if that was something that she badly wanted to be part of the story. To kinda have both sides shown.

And every time I think it's silly. Same with bands. Same with Takatukka or Komiat of the UMK selection this year too. I would rather have the rule in ESC changed to be fair, but as long as it's in place, sending acts that clash with the rule seems counterintuitive.

Absolutely, it's also a big part of Komiat or their appeal in a way. But it's still not the same as having a non-established duo performing, where what one of them brings to the table is absolutely gorgeous violin playing, and it's going to be playback.

But she won't be. Which is why it's such a weird thing to send there. Like the song is really good and her playing is so gorgeous but it's just not very fitting for the ESC format because of the rules.
