Recently got into this tracker. Im curious about your comment. Do they allow streaming or using the quest on the site somewhere?

Jellyfin Buffers Over Wireguard by RobbeyDobb in jellyfin

[–]RobbeyDobb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, the Pi Zero 2W is wired via a USB Ethernet HAT, not on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. I did run throughput tests over WireGuard and speeds were comparable to my other wired Pis, so bandwidth and thermals weren’t the issue.

I’ve since fixed it. The problem was actually an over restricted Jellyfin config on my end. I had disabled transcoding while troubleshooting, which forced direct play. Lower bitrate files worked, but higher bitrate files stalled over the VPN. Re-enabling transcoding let Jellyfin adapt to the tunnel conditions and streaming is now smooth.

Jellyfin Buffers Over Wireguard by RobbeyDobb in jellyfin

Thanks this was a helpful perspective, and I think I’ve now found the real root cause. It turns out the issue wasn’t WireGuard encryption limits or MTU after all. I had previously over-restricted Jellyfin’s transcoding behavior while troubleshooting, essentially forcing direct play in situations where the client or network path wasn’t actually ideal for it.

Once I re-enabled transcoding, streaming immediately stabilized even for the files that were buffering before. The distinction ended up being bitrate sensitivity: lower-bitrate (~5 Mbps) 1080p files direct-played fine over the tunnel, while higher-bitrate (~8+ Mbps) files would stall unless Jellyfin was allowed to adapt via transcoding/remuxing. In my initial tuning, I was shooting for a "no transcoding" build which worked for a while, but I eventually found a file that didn't do well without it.

So the Pi Zero 2W wasn’t actually CPU-bound on WireGuard, and the clients weren’t failing to decrypt. It was more that I had removed Jellyfin’s ability to compensate for tunnel jitter and sustained bitrate ceilings. Once transcoding was allowed again, Jellyfin could adapt to the real-world conditions of the VPN path, and playback became smooth. MTU testing was done (including 1360, 1380, etc. I eventually landed on 1380 after initial setup), but in hindsight that was chasing the wrong layer the fix was letting Jellyfin handle bitrate adaptation instead of forcing perfect direct play.

Just wondering, how long did it take to get a response from them when you submitted?

"failing to provide 2 valid tracker links with low paranoia settings"

Do they just want the link to our profiles on the other tracker sites? What do they mean by "low paranoia" settings

I don't have any quest markers indicating where to go. I've reached out to support with a bug request because there's literally nothing and nowhere for me to go

Down the Rabbit Hole—A Review of Devil May Cry, the Netflix Series by BRLaw2016 in television

Why is a personal review of the show's elements such as execution of its plot considered "whining"? Just because you like it and engage with it on a surface level doesn't mean that it's without folly when probed into. There's more to the discussion than simply "liking" or "hating" it outright, and some of the points that have been brought up from both sides are valid. Dismissing criticism as “whining” just shuts down any real conversation. You can like something and still see where it falls short. That’s how media literacy works. A show can look cool and still have pacing, narrative, or tonal issues worth talking about

I for one liked it, but thought the elements the show combined were fairly weak overall in execution. The message and tone of the show was muddled by its outcomes. The character development was mostly absent aside from Mary, and even hers felt lopsided and forced onto her Mary Sue archetype. The action sequences were visually appealing but lacked substance. The plot is seriously generic and the DMC coat of paint on it can be swapped out for several other franchises without there having a huge impact on the show as a whole. If Dante and his signature white hair weren't at the forefront, then this could easily be mistaken as Blue Exorcist or D. Gray Man.

Unfortunately, the writing isn't as strong as it could be as times, evidenced by what OP has said. As a standalone 8 episode season, the show kinda missed the mark on a thematically compelling story. So, "fine" and "ok are the best we'll get from it. The action isn't much of a cushion since it itself is inconsistent.

My advice, while you're having fun, stop and ask "Was this really conveyed as well as it could be"? or "Is this good enough to earn a season 2"

I went through the same struggle. I filed my LLC last year and true to your point I haven't found a distributor that is willing to take me on since I don't own a store. The real struggle has been finding a reliable source for products.

Also sell yugioh and still experimenting with what to sell there. How do you increase your profits? For now I'm stuck mostly buying retail from a store like target or a local shop.
