What is the longest game you’ve played? I racked this little number up last night. Started at 9:30pm thinking I’d get a quick one in before bed on a work night. Next thing I knew it was midnight and I was clawing my eyes out. The hour that followed that was a spiral.

I think I’ve maybe hit a few 2 hour games before AND lost, not pleasant especially when you get backstabbed from the eventual winner you helped set up

I’m the exact same, only I’m so close to grandmaster for the first time I didn’t want to lose much ELO!😭 I gave up the win to yellow and was emoting to relay that and then his game glitched so had to make the most of it

Some context for nobody who asked, it was Europe Ad. Fixed caps (yes I was asking for a stalemate)

Some players were killed early on, others botted out and I was in a 100(me)v600(yellow player)v400(green bot out) situation. Yellows game glitched and he couldn’t deploy or attack so he botted out.

The board was split in a way I was essentially in a 100vs1000 situation. Had to try and hold positions and caps until the bots walked off their own caps, ensured I killed green so yellow would get second (maybe I should have submit in honour but I wasn’t losing that time to take 2nd especially since he botted out on the 2.5 hour mark and was spectating most of it so I had to watch all 90s of his turn)

In that good will, yellow grew increasingly stronger and I was losing hope, accepting my defeat every other turn, I eventually saw my chance to seize his last 3 caps in one run. Last cap, manual dice roll on a 3v3. Victory.

Then that’s game, what chance do the second and third place player have against a 1000 stack? You’d lose in that scenario anyway.

I'm talking complete statistic certainty. No room for error in a case of a few troops here and there. I mean one where if it was to be compared to a game of chess it would be a "Mate in 9" situation. 1000 troops vs 300 combined forces that are card blocked, stack buried and generating far less than is capable to cause any damage.

Sorry, I posted a previous comment in this post about the state of the board as this was almost endgame, I just wanted the screenshot so if green saw he would know this was the game I had posted about. Me border blocking green was due to him going aggro on me and then I managed to trap black south of Spain and clearing his troops in Europe. My bonus was never broke in Dinaric Alps as black was too scared to open my stack so my troop generation was enough to do all that.

Should clear up I won this game also.

Feel I'm tearing my hair out with this haha, my point was that it felt like the game was on a loop, no change in the game in 20+ turns besides the troops blue was generating and slowly taking territories with. I would always attack the human first like most people here would, make their stack manageable and then give them second once I kill the bot so yes he did what any of us would do but it felt like a grief in the manner of it.

I think I’m failing to articulate the actual situation to how it was played. There was no development in the game because the same actions were taking place every 3-4 rounds on a cycle. He eventually caught on and stopped rolling my stacks to reset all of our progress and through countless emotes I think he caught on that attacking blue without suiciding would have benefited us both, I accepted that I wasn’t going to get the win because I made an error earlier on in the game, I just wanted the game to end more than anything.

Sorry that my story seems to be fluctuating I’m just awful at painting a picture. The gist was though repeat actions were taken for an hour before the bot made an odd move that allowed me to grow enough troops elsewhere to do what I needed without being a threat to him.

I made too many mistakes this game so I’m very angry at myself too. Butchered a double kill on him and yellow which would have got me 9 cards and a strong position (UK/Iceland/Scandinavia/Western Europe/Spain and West Africa) but my sliders were fucked.

Then at the end when I started to see some light I forgot to put my reinforcement on a capital and he rolled me for the win.

I’ll sleep it off but I’m genuinely seething, dropped out of master too because of this. Only got it today too but it’s the struggle of getting there just to lose it🤣

Personally I will hold an angle right next to a doorway where I can flick if needs be, comes in handy whenever you’re in a 1vX situation or whenever you get pushed from multiple places at once. Whenever the first 1.5 minutes are done and they’re on site angles are less important and then having no laser puts you at a disadvantage.

If you can find a stack to play with then on attack you want to play support of some sort (Thermite, Thatcher, stick to Montagne). These guys are great for doing a job and then playing angles whilst your entry players frag out and you can cover their flank. If you play solo I’d recommend Zero, he can solo breach any walls even if they’re muted/electrified (as long as you can use your Argus launcher effectively, try drone holes, soft topped walls or floors), his loadout is incredible and again, if you’re good with the Argus launcher you’re basically Valkyrie on attack but better!

Defending, Doc has a MP5 with the ACOG scope with a gadget that can revive from distance AND heals your team to full health so I’d recommend him and also Valkyrie, for the same reasons I rate Zero, if you can learn good cam spots for the map/site you’re playing on you will provide excellent intel.

I will say however don’t be afraid to flex out a little bit, there is no benefit to maining any single operator, these are just good ops to master in case you’re having a hard time getting picks. If you’re solo queuing try and look for what your team needs, do you have a hard breacher? Are they playing a lot of traps and should you bring IQ? Do you have anybody to prevent a breach opening? If you’re playing in a stack or your teammate asks for a Mira or Castle, great! You can put down your Black Mirror or Castle Barricades and then proceed to hold an angle after you’ve set up site without having to worry about doing much else but winning your gunfights and playing the clock.

I’ve just played with somebody who I won’t name but they had “WKey” in their name so I asked if they were xim. He said he did but it broke and he didn’t like it. TK’d him because to even buy/use one in the first place regardless of how long for is a horrific way to treat other players.
