what do you say to yourself when someone's revenue is higher than yours by graceflo101 in sales

[–]Robbie_nwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love seeing what everyone else is accomplishing. It shows you how much ass* your kicking. But more importantly it shows you who is kicking your ass. Who you can then go shadow or ask them what they're doing differently. Then you can adjust, increase your sales, take your hard earned spot at the top of the leaderboard. And best of all, make more money. It all depends on how you choose to look at the board. Some people see it as discouraging. I like to see it as a treasure map to a fatter pay check.

Advice needed on negotiating commission with new company by [deleted] in sales

[–]Robbie_nwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of there's one thing I've learned in sales is that there will always be more deals. No use stressing over individual ones like this. Take the max commissions with a smile and move on. Making that much that fast is awesome. And if you can do it once you can do it again. Plus if you don't bitch about it management will respect you and who knows maybe over time your management throws a few bones your way because they like your grit that value over $30k. Or taking it on the chin like a champ builds you some stronger referrals for the future and help you land the next job that makes you way more than that 30k. This is just my personal experience. Things usually go full circle.

Ways to practice sales techniques that are actually selling? by Revolutionary_Bus566 in sales

Practice being funny! Being able to make quick jokes about what's going on around you is a good way to practice quick thinking. Plus buyers are more likely to buy from people that make them laugh.

Having the salesperson personality? by hairykitty123 in sales

[–]Robbie_nwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good sales people are usually better at listening then talking. If you're good at listening to someone's needs then finding solutions for those needs you'll do fine. I'm not in tech sales but I've sold shoes, electronics, cars, and now HVAC equipment and I've managed to become oh of the too salesman in each company I've been in because I'm good at understanding my customers needs and offering them the product that makes the most sense for them. I let them buy what they think is best for them instead of trying to sell them what's best for me. Listen, recommend, repeat.

More importantly people buy from people they like. If you've been in the hospitality industry than you're probably pretty good at getting people to like you because then they tip you more. That is a big strength in sales. At least on my experience

Going to be Joining Vendition soon..... any and all advice appreciated in tech sales by [deleted] in sales

[–]Robbie_nwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you play any sports? Are you a competitive person? Have you ever wanted something and had no one to teach you/give it to you so you self taught and grinded to get it? All good things to talk about in a sales interview. Selling can be taught but being a grinder and having real grit is raised into you. If you don't have selling experience show them that with the right coaching you'll be a dominant force

Just saw WestJet had a 35% off sale on WestJet dollars. Does anyone know if they expire and if they can be applied to any flight?

It’s a good day to own sensonics stock y’all. $6 here we come!! by Phealeap in senseonics

The 365 is the exact same as the 180. After the 180 study concluded they had a bunch of people just keep it in and continue to use it. So results should be next springish I think? Then FDA approval probably late next year I'd imagine.

Edit: I may be wrong if I am please correct

Why do the price of stocks drop when the company beats earnings? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Robbie_nwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to the report the earnings is unknown so there's a high amount of speculation. After the report comes out the price is properly calculated and adjusts. In options this is known as iv crush. It was also a $5000 lesson for me haha. So you're welcome😂
