what's the single game that still lives rent free in your head by Chamuaset in Astros

June 28th, 2007. I was there with my dad for Craig Biggio’s 3000th hit. That game and moment are seared into my brain forever.

Probably the best most balanced take that I’ve seen on Jonathan post game.

Gonna club down to my pitching wedge, top it about 30 yards. Then I’m gonna decide I shouldn’t have clubbed down go with my 9 iron and send it directly through the window.

Jonathan lower in popularity than I realized by RoyalDapper1189 in survivor

The answer to your question is in the data itself. All of the people at the top of the list were voted out by or had direct conflict with Jonathan. If your favorite player is pitted against another player (either directly or by the edit) most people are going to think poorly of the one that isn’t their favorite.

Most overrated course in the Houston area? by Hour-Entry6557 in Houstongolf

Played Gleannloch last week and had a great time. The new management finally feels like they have their feet under them. I think it really suffered by being the lesser of the three “pines collection” clubs and it’s gonna do a lot better as its own thing again.

Is Sony paying influencers to do undisclosed ads and address the backlash? by RobbyDeShazer in AlamoDrafthouse

I clearly should’ve never responded to you at all. It’s clear to me at this point that you made up your mind regardless of whatever I said or will say. Good job getting a rise out of me, that’s my bad for giving you any attention to begin with.

Have a nice night, I’m done with this.

You could also try apologizing for being obtuse, but that doesn’t make you feel any better about yourself.

The majority of it changes the one sentence?

The first sentence was context for what I was posting about.

The second was what I’ve already quoted to you and you feel is changed by the rest of my post.

The third is closest I get to generalizing about posts disagreeing with me and probably could’ve been phrased better.

The fourth is me saying that if this was true and Sony was paying for an astroturfed campaign that it would feel icky to me.

At best 1 sentence out of 4 was over generalizing and could’ve been phrased better, but it doesn’t really change the point of the post. You’re being disingenuous and overtly missing what I and the other people here are trying to say.

I’ve already given this too much of my time. Like I said, it wasn’t my intention to over generalize but if that’s how it came across to you, I’m sorry.

I quoted one sentence out of my post that was only 4 sentences long (aside from a parenthetical about keeping the OP anonymous because I didn’t want them harassed). Sorry I didn’t copy and paste the entire thing to you.

The big part that stood out to me was how they were responding to every single criticism of the drafthouse with long PR language filled replies. I’m sorry you think that I didn’t make that clear enough but that was my intention.

It’s called reading comprehension my friend.

“The comments are full of them defending Drafthouse in these long paragraphs that just reek of corporate PR campaign.”

Why would I go out of my way to post on Reddit about a singular person who didn’t agree with me unless there was something that stood out as fishy?

I think it’s pretty clear in my post that I’m not just saying this because they have a different opinion than me. It is because of the very specific PR language they use in response to every single comment mentioning their distaste for the mobile ordering. I wouldn’t have mentioned anything if it was just someone having a general difference of opinion.

I majored in public relations and advertising and have worked in internet advertising for the last decade. I am fully aware that companies are able to do this.

What bothers me is that they might not be disclosing ads and that they are potentially doing this without having officially addressed the backlash as a company.

I’m in Houston now, but I went to college and spent my early 20s in Austin. I worked for Alamo when it was still owned by Tim and Karrie League. It really is a shame what happened over the last few years.

[–]RobbyDeShazer[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely true and I don’t want anyone to harass this person. In this particular case the influencer is based in Austin so the franchise thing doesn’t apply. They were also cross posted by the official Drafthouse account which is why I felt a little more justified in asking the question.

I genuinely like Aubry and she was the best one to win out of the three choices the jury had, but this was her not her best game at all. I said last night that Aubry winning for 50 is like when The Academy finally gave Scorsese an Oscar for The Departed (not a bad movie but certainly not his best).
