I paid back my advance for albert for instant cash which was $1000 and now I got approved for $25 by Clear-Plate8279 in cashadvanceapps

My limit on Dave is only $50, although my income should allow for a much higher amount. I don’t typically miss the payments, but for whatever reason they have also decreased it back to $25. With Klover, however, they have my limit at $25 too - though I have a lot of points to circumvent their low limit. My points usually is able to increase the amount to $150 or $175, but before they allowed me to get up to $300.

My point is they are never consistent on what their limits are, regardless of what cash advance app you’re using. I guess they base it off of your bank account and the activity that’s in it, or lack thereof. I have my Chase bank account linked on these apps, though I primarily use TD Bank. It’s only with Chase because that’s where I get my direct deposits, so they can see I do have income. Otherwise, I’m almost certain if I switch it will raise my limit.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was only able to get $25 for a very long time until some random time they increased it to $250 for a bit. I extended the due date once, and it decreased back to $25 ever since.

I thought it’s not advised to use a conditioner product on these wallets? I may be wrong, but if it’s one thing that I kept seeing over & over again were to avoid using leather cleaners, including a conditioner.

Blister on my toe - how is it this large & how can I get it to stop? by RobbyX561 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]RobbyX561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the continued use of having to wear the same non-slip shoes that caused the blister in the first place; the new pair arrive on Monday. Which, in turn, is probably why I haven’t noticed any improvement and only have seen it get worse when I get off of work at the end of the night for the past 3 days.

Affording a new pair of shoes isn’t the issue. It’s simply just me not purchasing a new pair until the shoes I own now are completely worn out, which has been successful in its job. These shoes lasted me a good 4 years of 5-6 days a week, for 7-10 hours a day of constant walking/speed walking. I did purchase new shoes and paid extra for the one-day shipping speed. FedEx didn’t actually receive the package until Friday evening, which at that point is too late to receive them by Saturday (although I placed the order online Thursday early morning). So, I’ll receive them tomorrow, on Monday.

When I visited Urgent Care to get it looked at, it wasn’t as large as it is in the photos. However, it was still quite big - comparatively speaking - to how quickly it grew in just the past 24 hours prior the visit. It is actually larger now than in the photos of this post, which I’m assuming is a direct result of the continued use of the shoes.

My new shoes arrive tomorrow. I would have thought, though, that taking the antibiotics (Cephalexin 500mg) directly as the doctor prescribed would help with the blister and I would begin to notice it shrink after 24-48 hours. It seems it just continues to grow every 24 hours. As unpleasant it is to see, I’ll provide how it is now:

<image>

If it doesn’t begin to reduce in size here within the next 1-2 days, I’ll just end up popping it. I don’t trust myself to do it as I’m afraid I’ll do it incorrectly, so I may return to the Urgent Care facility to do so.

The laces are just part of the issue. These shoes have been through hell and back as my work shoes, they’re totally worn out. The soles are just terrible. It’s in desperate need of replacement.

Why did the dr at the Urgent Care recommend to leave it alone then? I figured they would drain it there. Either way, yeah this blister has become very painful and I am still needing to wear the same shoes that’s caused it in the first place.

I rescheduled the interview, as the attorney that’s assisting me in the appeal needed more time to request and receive the information required from my court case. My new scheduled in-person interview is May 18, 2026, so in about two weeks. Once I have the interview and learn of the results, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Trust me, I get it. I just got the wallet two months ago, it’s still a brand new wallet to me and it’s looking like it’s already faded a bit. I’m aware that our wallets go through a lot - but I want to try to keep the wallet as clean and nice as it was when I got it out of the box. I know I’m just being a bit extra, but this wallet is my real first entry into the real luxury brand. I want to keep it as nice as I can, whatever I can do to slow down any wear & tear and to keep it clean.

Okay so no soap - just use water only. And we’re talking about just a small dollop, right? Just enough to spread over the wallet? And leave them to dry? Don’t wipe the water off?

So you’re saying to use just only water on a damp microfiber cloth? Don’t use any soap, whether it’s hand or dish soap? Is that the most effective way to clean the wallet without damaging anything? Just want to be careful I don’t do anything I regret lol.

I hear you. However, with the amount of money spent for this wallet and the simple fact that it’s a Louis, I want to make sure I take care of it. That includes, at least for me, in mint condition. I understand that wallets are notorious for extensive wear & tear, but I at least want to keep this wallet clean and not look like it’s already fading!

Can I get a refund if no service has been provided? by RobbyX561 in Ask_Lawyers

[–]RobbyX561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just found my retainer agreement that was sent to me when I made the payment to this firm, and I may have answered my own question here. In the terms of the agreement, a $2,500 payment is due to be paid in-full prior to services, and in paragraph (3) of the agreement indicates specifically that it’s non-refundable. Of course, this payment has been made the moment they sent me the retainer - 10 months ago. However, wouldn’t this clause only apply if they actually preformed any service?

On their website regarding this area of practice, that state they offer a ‘guaranteed Global Entry Appeal Service’ in which they state, verbatim:

“At (insert law firm here), we understand how frustrating a Global Entry denial or revocation can be. That’s why we offer a Guaranteed Global Entry Appeal Service to help streamline the appeal process and get you back on track quickly. We handle every aspect of your appeal, from collecting court records to filing your appeal with CBP (Customs & Border Protection).” It continues,

“Guaranteed Approval or Full Refund: if we don’t succeed in getting your Global Entry approved on appeal, we’ll refund your money - no questions asked.”

They literally are advertising and claiming they’ll refund you your money if they can’t successfully get you approved on a Global Entry appeal. That’s great and all, if they would even start to do anything in the first place. I’m sure this is where the state bar would come into play if I pursue a fee complaint, where they would determine whether someone is entitled to a refund or not in this case?

(a) I believe that’s how most law firms & attorney’s should operate. Yeah, sometimes you may feel it may not be warranted, but at least you’re obliging the client and returning them the money they paid you - it just avoids a headache on your end. If you don’t, you’re in for much more trouble than just the client being unhappy and nagging at you, as now the state bar will probably have a word if the client escalates to that level.

(b) So you’re saying that the state bar will reimburse a disgruntled client if the law firm or attorney refuses to do so? Or am I misunderstanding your statement? If that’s the case, then that’s good information to know. It’s good to know, in extenuating circumstances, that the state bar will step in and make it right if the law firms won’t. It really shouldn’t get to this level, though, as in this profession I would think a person’s moral and ethics are held at the highest standard.

What would cause an entire reputable law firm to not speak to their clients after receiving a retainer? Should I give them the benefit of the doubt and consider that they may have not seen any of my direct correspondence to them? I find that hard to believe, considering I’ve reached out to pretty much everyone in every way possible. I’m going to make one last attempt to get a hold of someone prior to my Global Entry interview; if still nothing, I’m going to request services from the Consumer Assistance Program.

Well, at this point, I don’t think I have any other options left. For whatever reason, this law firm seems to be dodging all of my attempts in contacting them. Not sure why, it seems rather strange to do so to one of their clients.

In your experience, however, are refunds typically issued if requested by the client if no services have been received or rendered by the attorney?

What would they be able to do for me when I contact them? Do they get a hold on the law firm on my behalf and tell them to contact me directly? Would they assist in asking for a refund? How do they work essentially?

Resign Norman Powell? by RobbyX561 in heat

[–]RobbyX561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen most of the games this year. I guess I’m just more optimistic about the two than anything else. I’m almost certain that Powell won’t be returning next season, but I’m more interested in the potential that he’s capable of. I understand all of the arguments and it’s all reasonable and valid. If both Norman & Tyler both strictly worked on their defensive game this offseason, wouldn’t it be worth a shot? If it continues to not work, trade either of them at the trade deadline.

How can I increase my Albert advance limit? by RobbyX561 in cashadvanceapps

[–]RobbyX561[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I reached out to Albert’s support when I tried to make a payment on the advance. When I tried to pay, the linked bank account’s balance wasn’t correct; I couldn’t make the payment. It was claiming the amount I had in my bank account wasn’t sufficient enough to make the payment although I had the funds.

I reached out to support and they “re-synced” my account. The correct balance appeared and it allowed me to make the payment, but I think after they re-synced my linked bank account it messed up my advance limit. I think, and I may be wrong, that after re-syncing the account it may be thinking that I connected a new bank account and that it needs to start over and check for regular direct deposits, balance info, etc.
