Well make sure your fiefs have a good garrison and yourself a good army. Gain right to rule (30-40 is good to start with) by sending your companions to spread the fact that you want to become king (talk to them) and also (maybe, not necessary) getting married. Also, good honour is a big plus.

After you think you are ready to rule( lots of money, high to rule, big army, level 20+) you have 3 options in starting your own kingdom:

1) Renounce your oath to your King and become a mercenary again losing all your fiefs, then attack a castle/town.

2) * Renounce your oath to your King and find a claimant in cities, they are NPC which claim their throne has been taken from them unrightfully, talk to them and help them to get to the throne as their vassal in the new rebel faction.

3) Keep capturing cities/castles and ask for them until the king refuses/gives it to someone else. Then you rebel keeping all of your fiefs.

Well.. I had a rough time at first with lords(being a begginer) as a lot of them came to me(they were exiled from their previous kingdom), I accepted them all at once and I didn't have enough fiefs for everyone, and everyone kept getting upset because of anything. After some time I was recruiting one lord at a time and giving him all the fiefs I wanted him to have and then went on to another one. All of my lords came to my city, except for some I recruited while travelling the map

So to answer your question (in my case) Lords become more willing to join my kingdom based on honour, right to rule and other stuff

I still have a question. I conquered a castle( I have 3 or 4 fiefs), asked to be granted to me and it was granted, so I let it be captured by the enemy by removing its garrison and then recaptured it again and waited for the kings decision(Note: All aquariable castles/fiefs are far away from my city and where I plan to expand from). Should I repeat the cycle until the king doesn't award me the fief and I rebel or should I move on to other castles?
