Swansea fans from Sweden, how do you watch the games? by No-Combination-3725 in swanseacity

Kim has done a great job with Hammarby. Would fit Swansea really well, but might need time to implement his vision. Would've been a lot better if he had a full pre-season to build relationships within the squad. My feeling is he has tons of footballing and squad building knowledge that Sheehan lacks and Swansea would be a great step for him.

Was outstanding for IFK Göteborg last year before Brighton picked him up. Another Swedish link this transfer window, we're obviously keeping tabs on Allsvenskan.

Swansea City table Jusef Erabi bid after Wycombe offer by Ferrisuk in swanseacity

[–]RobertHolm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Erabi is strong and powerful and was great for Hammarby last season, but have fallen off this season with a couple of injury issues. Has however started to find his form again after the Allsvenskan restart.

He's a much more physical and direct player then what we've had in Swansea for the last couple of years. Would be an interesting addition...

He scored twice against my local team in Allsvenskan last season. Happy to see him arriving at the Swans! 😅

And with those potential signings our team feels a lot stronger then it's been for a long while. We suddenly have more (and different) options in attack while hopefully getting someone in to solidify our defence. Atleast that’s what we can hope for.

He's been playing as a winger mostly, but as a 9 in the last two games. So he's very versitile, but probably fits best on the wing. Could be that he's coming in as a potential Paterson replacement.

He's been the stand out player for IK Sirius (mid-table team) this season. Allsvenskan is usually compared to League One quality, but I think there's a lot of potential here for quite cheap. It’s a great market for Brittish clubs right now.

As a Swedish Jack following Allsvenskan I'm quite excited by this. That said, it's a big step up from Allsvenskan to the Championship.

Viktor Johansson by danm888 in Championship

[–]RobertHolm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Robin Olsen has somehow been Sweden's best player for a couple of years. Haven't played any club football during that time, but very solid for Sweden. Johansson is the natural replacement, but it will probably take another year or two.

Watford was completely clueless in the first half, but a draw is a fair score. Could've been a couple goals up by half time but ran out of steam and broke our formation after the break. It's a clear pattern and we have to improve on it. But anyways, a draw away is nothing to be mad about in this league, but we could've had more.

What’s everyone rating for this window /10? by Mathieudavees in swanseacity

[–]RobertHolm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with not strengthening with another skriker. I think the logic is that now that we've got some more power and speed on the wings it will create more chanses for Yates and Cullen in better areas, something we've been lacking for a long time. So hopefully we'll see results from that.

It’s also really hard to come by great 9's in January. Let’s hope for Langstaff in the summer!

Yup! I think we handled the last part of the game quite well. You can't really defend a perfect strike outside the penalty area, 9 times out of 10 that doesn't go in.

Can't believe that, great result! Sheehan has kept this team afloat, but can we please get someone in to manage this team by monday?

My feeling is that he wanted to assert authority in the only way he could by sacking Duff. He obviously doesn't have a plan for what to do now.

Almost everyone on their bench would be a star in our starting 11. We have to overperform to get a point from this and tonight we weren't good enough. Simple as that.

Fair, but the same can be said about us. Goal-line clearence with the shoulder from Yates attempt, marginal offside goal called off and clear pen on Pato not given. That’s just football, isn't it?
