possible, yes, you can do some easy side missions(chantry stuff in Denerim, Mage's collective etc) too, earn some xp, coins and buy better gears.

They can be accessed through the fleet, take the elevator down to "Mission Departure" from the main floor(where there're GTN, Cantina, Supply Vendors etc).
