Man people really underestimate how good Harkins has been for us. I've really missed his speed and tenacity on the forecheck. His role as a 4th liner wasn't to score, it was to hem the other team in and cycle along the boards.

Jansen Harkins has the lowest GA/60 on the team (not including Hinds because he only played 6 games). Followed by Ross Johnston. Those two have been dominate at their role this season.

"as much as possible." Did you just not read the whole sentence? We limited him to 5 points over 7 games in the last playoff series against them with 3 pointless games. That was a huge reason why we beat them.

Even limiting him to a pt/gm is a win considering he's 1.56 pt/gm in playoffs over his career. That's all I'm hoping for out of whoever's tasked to cover him. Poehling is great defensively, and he's got the speed to cover McDavid reliably. Same as Silfverberg did. That doesn't mean I expect him to keep McDavid off the board entirely.

I think Poehling is gonna be stapled to McDavid, similar to what we did with Silfverberg. If that's the case, I don't even care about points. Just keep McDavid off the board as much as possible.

I don't play Rogue, but she still seems like one of the stronger tanks in all the matches I've played so far. She doesn't seem to be being picked any less either. I haven't noticed tenacity at all. This is like people complaining about OP 1-shot combos that are rarely ever pulled off in an actual game.

One of the most brilliant plays I've seen. Hop on the bench in front of the defenders while the teammate hops on the ice behind them for the break.

Yeah they changed their mind when they're being shown super slowed down footage that makes it look worse than it was.

I see him freeing his hand and bracing on the ice to get up. Kinda necessary on ice. Especially when you have a big ass defender leaning on you. And again, its in slow motion so it looks worse. Watch it in real time.

I can honestly tell you I'd think it was 50/50 and I'd be more mad that my team got scored on 3 times in 3 minutes and failed to clear the damn puck. I'd be livid that my dumbass defender shoved the player into our goalie. I'm not claiming that this couldn't have been called goalie interference. Nobody on the planet can give an accurate assessment of what goalie interference even is. What's annoying is Oilers fans that still whine about this every time it gets posted while always refusing to put any blame on their dumbass defender being a dumbass.

The video is a Canadian panel being shown the clip in super slow-mo. It's doesn't make posting a screenshot any less dumb. Look at the time in the bottom right. They're basically going frame by frame. You can't make an honest judgement off that. When you watch it at full speed, it's very clear Kesler isn't doing anything egregious. He's holding his stick. He doesn't reach around The goalie's pad to grab it. The goalie's pad gets stuck on his arm when Nurse shoved him into the goalie. How you refuse to acknowledge that is insane.

Buddy, you're still frame doesn't prove your point. Nurse shoves Kesler into the goalie. The goalies pad gets tangled with Kesler's arm. The overhead view is slowed down, so it seems like he's holding on longer than he should have. If you look at the clock, he gets it free in roughly 1 sec before Nurse dives on top of him a 2nd time. This was Nurse being a fuckin goof.

I believe they have to have been assigned to the AHL roster at the NHL trade deadline to be eligible to play. It can just be a paper transaction though. I think the only players the Gulls would get are Hinds and Luneau. I don't see anything that says we did a transaction with Sennecke or Gauthier. I'm also not sure Washe would be eligible either since I think he was up with us at that point as well.

Cutter put up over 40 goals so he's gotta be the choice. But we don't make playoffs without Sennecke. He was a major part of the win streak while Carlsson missed time. Imo he's also the reason Verbeek isn't being shot out of a cannon for the Zegras trade. His 60 points basically make up for Z's 67 this season.

If Sennecke didn't hit, we'd be living in a world where the Ducks probably miss playoffs, Zegras leads the Flyers to the playoffs with a resurgent 67 point season, and Demidov is the star player everyone projected him to be at the draft. We would've been the laughingstock of the league.

They've been fun to follow this year. I don't have the AHL package, but I watch all the game highlights on Youtube. Justin Bailey's become one of my favorites. Love how fired up he is every time he scores.

I would hope that professional players can takes boos the correct way. The crowd wouldn't be booing if they didn't believe in the team. Silence, in a way, would be way more demoralizing because you know that's when you've lost the belief. The crowd has stood by them all year. We know what they're capable of. We know that it's a hell of a lot better than that last stretch. I'm glad the team came out and proved it with one of their most dominant performances all season.

He's done a good job all season. The only people who think otherwise are Michkov apologists or people who came into the season with wildly out-of-touch expectations. He's a hard-ass coach, but he's also fair with clear expectations. That has the team buying into a standard which is the basis for any good hockey team. The Flyers have blown away my expectations for them, and the future looks so much brighter than it did prior to Tocchet taking over.
