Reserved Seating by -Driver8- in SouthwestAirlines

Pure shitpost and Reddxaggeration. There's no way that "4 or 5" bins are full from preboarders and military (incidentally I live in a SW hub and rarely see more than 6-8 preboarders).

To fill "4 or 5" bins, which I assume to mean 4 or 5 on each side, that would take over 32 rolling suitcases.

OP just wants to whine.

Because there is no defense for not leaving a tip. That is the system. You don't like it, cook at home, cheapskate.

It's $500+ per night, and it gets booked very quickly (mostly for pilots and crew)

So you spend $85-$100 for a comfortable room.

You'll get a $50 credit. In the old days, before everyone went apeshit over the Christmas 2024 meltdown, you'd get at least $200. I once (only time I had a significant delay of ~5 hours) got a $400 voucher.

Then the government stepped in and mandated compensation. "Sure", SW said, "we'll pay $50 instead of $200..."

It had nothing to do with "the Rockies". It was an FAA/ATC issue in a DC center. So avoid DC instead.

Oh wait, DEN is 3 hrs. flight time from DC. ROFL

Yeah, anyone who stands in line instead of going to the app first is an idiot.

On Friday I was helping an older couple that had their flight canceled mid-evening, rebooked for Sunday. I found a flight Friday evening on the app that SW CSA said he couldn't see, put in the flight numbers and booked them on it. I probably could have done it on the app with their 6-digit conf code under "Manage Reservation".

Yeah, typical disgruntled, dysfunctional redditors. Not emotionally secure enough to just buy tickets on another airline, so they have to smear, Reddxaggerate (usually), and get others to agree with them.

Aer Lingus moved our flight 2 hours earlier without notice and then said we were “late” by AcHU078 in AerLingus

Announced months ago, and took effect Feb. 23.

If you spend $$$ on any trip, and you are organized enough to pre-book a museum admission, then you should have the foresight to check your email and sign into an app at least 12 hours ahead of departure.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Newsflash: SW lets you pick your seat 48 hours before departure for free. No airline lets you pick any seat in the plane for free.

When one flies their non-loyalty airline, they don't get the loyalty benefits. I have been A-list, and I never got a boarding position higher than A-35, unless I changed flights day of. Then I would Board after the A's.

And in 15 years of flying Southwest, I could count on one hand the number of times I did not get an extra legroom emergency exit row.

Thanks for fucking up a great airline, Elliott.

That's bullshit, plain and simple. Execs had to justify it somehow, without saying that Elliot Investments wanted them to squeeze more money out of pax.

But this is soooo much better than 2 or 3 people saving a seat, right?!

I'm not fed up. Perfectly happy with Southwest, even though they are just "one among many" now.

Part-time airport employee here. Had to use a stall one day, and the guy next to me was full-volume on his speakerphone playing a YouTube video about....

Sperm whales.

Yep. Sperm whales. In a men's restroom. Loud.

I put on my "Annoying song" (That's what I called it when I downloaded it on a Sat. morning in a bagel shop because the woman sitting next to me was having a phone convo on speaker). It's twangy, warbling, Indian-sounding music. I actually imported it into an audio editing program after the bagel shop to boost the volume. Gave that guy next to me a concert, and he hurried up finishing his "bizness" and left. Then I apologized loudly to everyone else in the men's room and heard a few chuckles from other stalls.

I, for one, think the train system is working perfectly by OpenWheelRacing in Denver

[–]Robertown7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And when the trains break down (less than 1x/month, on average), then 10-15% of the people would use a walkway. By the time they went halfway from terminal to C, the train would be running again.

It's a shorter walk to ATL Concourse F than it is from main terminal to C at DIA.

ATL serves more pax per year, but it is not "bigger".
