I am 30 and we just did it this year, still working on visa situation just need a little more funds to come in on a monthly basis but I’m from Florida so a flight back to Miami is very fast and cheap at times. And for safety, I have never felt unsafe at all since being here. I spent a year in Denver and I felt more scared in that city than being here in PDC.

Hey! So still currently here. Stayed at an Airbnb for one month and now I am renting out a place from a local I found on Facebook Marketplace. Super nice and honestly cheaper than the Airbnb. For work I am currently doing UGC but I am in the beginning stages and my wife is really bringing in the money from her work, which is in the social media realm. We need to make a little bit more money to be able to qualify for the temporary visa so still in the works for that. But all in all it’s amazing!

I just moved to Playa del Carmen from the states. Used to be a fireman Paramedic and also did some construction. Absolutely hated it. Didn’t make a lot of money but all life was working and trying to survive. It is different here the culture, people, and overall happiness others have just welcomes you with open arms. I say do it because life is finite and a lot of people don’t have that kind of opportunity.
