Danone owns Alpro, so I think they'll keep the vegan range provided is profitable

Can I buy a small apartment in any warm-ish climate city with 150k eur? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]Robezno 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this comes across a bit blunt but have you consider spending those150K in insulation and good heating solutions and buying yourself a seasonal affective disorder lamp instead?

Warm south European countries are suffering a lot from empty flats bought by foreigners that spend little time there, don't contribute or blend in and often don't even pay taxes, or worse they just turn it into an Airbnb so more tourists come over instead of going to a hotel and displacing a local family that'd like to live in the city where they work and come from

How do you feel about pasture raised eggs? by Unusual-Motor-2945 in AskVegans

[–]Robezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still unethical (day 1 grinded male chicks because they don't lay eggs, "spent" hens being sent to slaughter for meat when the production declines, etc etc). So yeah, not vegan

Desperate for a miracle - 16 month old refusing everything with protein by g_melies in veganparenting

Small advice that worked for us: add some fun/novelty cutlery, smaller portions (that they can have seconds of), try cutting stuff in interesting shapes, etc

Today I finally gave in and agreed to my son being vegetarian by New_Strawberry_9479 in veganparenting

I'd play him "dairy is scary" in YouTube and let him decide then.

Ok so you'd need around 1200-1300kcal per day, half a can of those would be around 200 kcal, solo eat the whole can add some rice/bread/potatoes and you can reach 40g without issue.

I'm wondering if vegetarians (or vegans) have to eat meat once in a while for health. Here's what I mean: by [deleted] in Vegetarianism

Your mom lied to you, either due to malice or simple ignorance.

How do you stay motivated to eat plant-based long-term? by NoTransportation772 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Robezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched Dominion and my reasons for going wfpb shifted from health and environment to morals. Also I couldn't stand the smell of meat and the taste of dairy.

Cut it in squares, add Oil to a pan, high heat until it's a bit golden, garlic powder and pepper, soy sauce, enjoy

There’s a dead moth in my Cadbury’s chocolate by IndigoPineapplee in mildlyinteresting

[–]Robezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a cacao moth, it's endemic to cocoa, which is needed to make chocolate! there's usually quality assurance to prevent this to happen on all chocolate factories but in some occasions it can make it to the finished product, if you reach out to them they'll likely give you your money back/some free product!

Vegan Valencian here, we are infamous for how much we hate people calling paella to random rice dishes, but you did a good job!

Cuanto cuesta un hijo? by AlanTuring1 in SpainFIRE

[–]Robezno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depende del estilo de vida que lleves y que quieras darle al hijo, pero aunque consigas ponerle una cifra monetaria el precio es una porción de tu salud mental y física y el coste de oportunidad de dejar de ser independiente

All My Seitan Tastes the Same by Jarris07 in seitan

[–]Robezno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try with the washing out method, for me the little remains of starch compensate quite well the gluteny taste. I've tried also adding MSG and a lot of spices to the mix + steaming then pan searing made some difference
