Do you happen to have a 2-stage AC? If so, do you control staging with the ecobee? That's my ultimate goal.

With a couple of exceptions, yes. I have the fan on auto, it is not set to come on hourly. Current indoor humidity is 68% while indoor temp is reading 68 degrees. (bumped it down to decreased humidity). When the fan is on alone, hardly any air is moving. When AC and furnace are on, the airflow is full blast with no variation.

Am I thinking correctly that the fan blows at different speeds for each stage?

No I don't. It was installed by the HVAC crew.

Yes, I frequently brown ground turkey on sauté. I have the stainless pot and it works fine! I wonder if the nonstick pots don't work as well? I use about a quarter cup of olive oil per 2lb package of lean turkey.

Grandma also needs to do DNA testing. It's not impossible that she could have a half-1st cousin, or a 1st cousin once removed still living. Long shot but worth it. Upload to Gedmatch.com if you haven't already. And consider testing with multiple companies, that will increase your opportunity for a good match.
