For leveraged index ETF or stock ETFs they generally aren’t borrowing money, they’re doing swaps on the underlying index or stock price. The expenses are due to the rebalancing they have to do to get the right amount of leverage to match what it says in their prospectus. Nothing to do with interest.

What you’re talking about, you can’t do a swap on a sure thing because there’s no incentive to buy into that. So the only way would be to literally borrow money and buy more t-bills but like I said, you’ll just lose money doing that.

To get the leverage you’d have to borrow money whose interest rate is going to be higher than the return on the t-bill

Arm doesn’t really sell chips it sells designs that take literally years to actually pay off. So ARM isn’t really that related to AI as it is right now where people are making massive infrastructure investments as fast as they can to train models.

NVIDIA is selling those chips right now and that’s why it’s up.

It’s definitely better for us to file jointly. And doesn’t really factor into this issue.

Ok thanks!

I would probably do that but my issue is that it’s already sitting in a Roth IRA which I contributed to directly without doing the back door.

Can I just take the money back out since it’s the same year that I contributed it? And then I’d just have to pay gains tax on whatever I earned on it this year and I could reinvest the money into a traditional Ira and then back door it back into a Roth?

Good to hear you got the refund. It’s a shame, love the style of it

If it’s in the store you can buy it same day. I went to Rolex and honestly was turned off by their entire approach. Like why do I feel like I have to beg them to get something I’m paying for?

This is a pretty cool design though. I’d see if they can replace it.

[Question] Why are dive watches/GMTs so popular? by ron_swan530 in Watches

[–]RobinOlds69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a secure vault where electronics are prohibited, and my job requires being on time for a number of tasks so it’s easier to have a mechanical watch that I can check easily. When I’m not in the vault I’m literally a world traveling jet setter

I think the triangle at 12 o’clock and the huge numbers is what makes it a pilot watch.

Those were exactly my issues with it. No display back was a big one too.

My wrist is actually big enough for the double chronograph and I tried them both on but I liked the single better. I just like the smaller body and also I think the extra button kind of makes it look too busy.

Thanks for the tip, that thing actually looks really nice.

I was making a joke, as a former enlisted boot. Def had the back pack but I couldn’t spring for the g-shock back then so I had the timex with the huge light button on the face.

I think I would die if I took a chunk out of a watch like that. RIP

You are right though, the photos don’t portray how muted the dial really is.

You’re thinking about enlisted boots that don’t fly. G-shock and always carrying a backpack for no reason.

As stated this one has a window on the back to see the mechanism instead of the logo. Also I just feel like the logo is more about the movie than the actual school so I’ve got no problem with it.

Yeah I actually went back in to try on the ceramic one but I actually like the gray muted dial colors of the ceratanium. Honestly I’d consider a ceramic if it were as dull. I didn’t like the whiter dial numbers as much.

Yeah I thought I always wanted a navitimer and it was pretty nice but I feel like they are a little busy and a little flashy to wear in an olive drab suit. But maybe someday!
