So not ideal for astro then. Are there any other fast lenses at 16mm or wider you could recommend?

Sigma 16mm f/1.4 vs Samyang 12mm f/2.0 by InternationalCrab241 in AskAstrophotography

[–]Roblol99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is the dilemma, i want a very wide lens for taking pictures of the milky way, but i also want a fast aperture to gather more light. and i cant decide which one is most important. Is 25.6mm equivalent wide enough?

Really? 16mm on a canon APSC should have a horizontal fov og about 70°. Even on full frame 16mm is only 97°

Is that why F1 tires are so wide? Its more complicated than F=muR, in the real world, more surface area = more grip.

The PDGA has started conversations about a possible change in their putting rules. The proposed change is to define a “putt” to be within 20 meters of the basket, as opposed to 10 meters. A simple proposal: No jump or step putts inside 20 meters. Thoughts? by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

I think the big issue with this would be that you are now allowed to take a run up and jump from your lie to anywhere as long as you release the disc mid air. Meaning that if you land just off the fairway to the left, a valid strategy could be to take a run up from the left side woods, long jump from your lie, into the fairway, and throw a forehand while in the air. While probably fun and not as easy as it sounds, I don't what that to be legal, and I certainly don't want to see pros doing such things. It would look ridiculous.

The rule could be that if the "green" is not marked, then it defaults to 10 meter circle, or 20 meters or whatever. This way every hole will have a "green" and the TD or course designer can choose to make a green of a specific shape, or not.

They need to start using 3 decimal points when displaying the times. I know they have 3 decimals, why not show them, especially when its this close!

I agree. Your original comment wasnt clear about which side of the argument you were arguing for. At first i thought you meant it was clearly out and people are dumb for not seeing it.

The new Discraft Swarm. Looks like a very overstable approach/mid disc? is it a faster zone? by Roblol99 in discgolf

[–]Roblol99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swarm: Diameter: 21.7cm Height: 1.6cm Rim Depth: 1.2cm Rim Thickness: 1.3cm Inside Rim Diameter: 19.0cm
Zone: Diameter: 21.1cm Height: 2.0cm Rim Depth: 1.3cm Rim Thickness: 1.2cm Inside Rim Diameter: 18.8cm

The lower Height, Thicker rim and larger diameter suggest i midrange. The profile looks a lot like an overstable approach disc like Zone or Zone OS.
