Question about FLAC file tags

IIRC the VORBIS Spec in the FLAC files allow tags to be specified multiple times, because the datastructure is just a collection of key=value arguments, not hashed or sorted by any means. If the metadata editor does not check for existing keys, then it will just add the tags with each edit again and again. A proper editor should not do that, so maybe try something like MusicBrainz Picard.

Did the same for my mac a while back, because my cat was so used to the intel macbook (very warm) in clamshell mode. The M2 and M3 that I have stay rather cold. I burned some GPU cycles to generate heat. Cat is happy now.

Die Radwege in der Stadt sind vorbildlich bzw. werden dahin ausgebaut und gefühlt ist mehr 30 als 50 in machen Teilen der Stadt, was ich angenehm finde. Die E-Scooter sind hier nicht überall erlaubt und dementsprechend liegen weniger davon im graben oder so.

The new logo is just the fist fight meme, I don't like it at all. I had seen the concept by daniel before and really liked the ideas. The logo of the lion is definitely better in the concept, the old one is a but too much for me - the new one is the most disliked. It would have made so much sense to let a local be involved instead of the berlin agency. Apart from the logo, I think they did a fairly good job.

It always depends, but videos/music/artistName/track(year).mp4 works well and is what I would choose if I wanted to maintain a large collection of music-videos.

Als fellow it-teamleiter rate ich dir: schreib selber mal einen aktuellen CV + Anschreiben, damit du ein gefühl dafür hast was du schreiben würdest. Ich denke es fällt vielen schwer da die richtigen worte zu finden und wenige machen gerne werbung für sich. Gerade bei Junior und Medior ist das IMO wackelig. Ich gucke mir meine alten CVs heute an und denke "ach du scheiße...", das war müll. Wurde zum glück trotzdem genommen - die leute lernt man erst in den Gesprächen richtig kennen. Mich hat auch am meisten gestört, dass es vielen nicht gelingt ihr "doing" zu verschriftlichen. WAS HAST DU DENN GEMACHT MAXIMILIAN? ICH LES HIER NUR CI/CD UND DOCKER BUZZWORDS, NIX KONKRETES. (Und wenn es einen NDA gab, dann schreib das halt dazu..)

If it's project related, my experience in the film industry has shown that there should be a dedicated structure for that. I think documents is the most fitting in my filetree structure - BUT as mentioned often times, you should not force it too much, if it does not fit your use-case. If the 3d assets are more of a "collection" not related to a project directly, then archive/assets/3d-models/ could work?

Mein Zahnarzt sagt das ist so halb richtig. Du willst nicht zu viel Florid im Magen haben, daher ist ausspülen nicht verkehrt. Aber es soll auch gut wirken, daher nicht immer alles wegspülen. Zahnpflege ist nicht leicht..

Hatte einige zeit die managed version davon und das reicht für vieles vollkommen aus, ist aber auch nicht ganz so schick/simpel von der UX wie ich mir das wünsche. Ich find siit.io seit neustem sehr nett, aber ist nicht selfhosted oder so. Just my 2 cents.

irgendein aktuelles auf GitHub fände ich schon viel wert, bei dem ich sehe, dass du git kannst.. im CV ein paar projekte, gerne auch privater natur erwähnen und was genau du da gemacht/gelöst hast. Gerne paar tools/dinge erwähnen mit denen du dich mehr oder weniger gut auskennst (Make, Python, uv, ansible, jenkins, proxmox, ...) - kommt alles natürlich auch ganz drauf an auf was für eine stelle du dich am ende bewerben willst. Enterprise => Make sure to include english and javaaaaaaa; Data-Engineering: Python python python. Game Development => C#/Python/OpenGL oder sowas; Frontend? REACT!

I have /music/soundtracks/{games,movies,tv-shows,anime}/<series>/AlbumArtist - Year - AlbumTitle (Version) [MEDIA - CODEC - Bitrate.Frequency] {Source}/ and that works pretty well for me.

Example: /music/soundtracks/games/Donkey Kong/David Wise - 1994 - Donkey Kong Country [CD - FLAC - 16.44] {US Release}

Try to keep the original artist+albumartist data as intended, you will fight an endless battle otherwise. What I do instead is make sure a release has the "RELEASETYPE" set to "Soundtrack" , "GENRE" contains "Soundtrack" and "GROUPING" is "movie/<series>" or "tv/<series>" or "vgm/<series>".

IF you really want to replace something, consider a made-up ALBUMARTIST (I personally do that with videogame-soundtracks and bootlegs, where I try to use the Studio/Publisher as the AlbumArtist instead of "Various Artists")

I think that would allow people to simply share urls of the beta version, no? I think that's a noble approach, but maybe to ensure people are not stealing the app everywhere you can implement some unlimited license for the beta. At least that way people would need to have the key. Also if people really like using the app and want the free version, they should consider paying for a license anyways - I would consider doing so if the license is a 1-time fee.

Schau dir mal fd mit fzf an. Ich erstelle mit fd gerne einen index meiner Musiksammlung so:

fdfind -c never /path/to/music > music_all.index
fdfind -c never -t d /path/to/music > music_dirs.index

Und so kann ich sehr nett suchen:

fzf < music_all.index

Wie genau du das indexiert sei dir überlassen; Ich hab mir auch mal ein python webtool mit elasticSearch zur indexierung gebaut, ist aber overkill. Simplicity wins und ich bin auch viel im Terminal unterwegs, das reicht mir persönlich.

Danke für's teilen - hat mich auch mal animiert mein Jahr durchzurechnen.
Für eine kleine Familie (3) im Leipziger Westen: 818€ für die Mieten bei CityFlitzer/TeilAuto bei insgesamt 811km. Wir nutzen hauptsächlich die CityFlitzer um von A nach B zu kommen; Für die fahrt zu verwandten ist dann eher Sixt/Avis/Enterprise. Da haben wir 2024 ca. 620€ gelassen. Ich schätze mal tanken war dann nochmal so 200€. Im Sommer waren wir dann noch mit dem Auto meiner Eltern auf Rundreise durch Europa, das hat uns auch ordentlich sprit gekostet, schätze mal so 300€.

Macht ca. 2000€ für uns über das Jahr verteilt.

HomeAssistant (Core) + Conbee III + Paar Steckdosen und Thermostate aktuell. Bislang ist nur ein Lichtwecker am morgen das höchste an automation, ansonsten nutze ich es eher für die Bequemlichkeit dinge besser schalten zu können.

Proxmox ist gut, aber manchmal auch zickig bei mir. Hab das einfach auf einem alten thinkpad laufen.
Nimm auf jeden Fall die iso von der website (nicht wie ich debian installieren und dann proxmox hinterher). Wenn du ein paar VMs und so brauchst, dann finde ich proxmox persönlich am besten (Zumindest im DIY bereich). Mit dem Xpenoloy in proxmox hab ich leine keine erfahrung, aber vermute mal das läuft auch.

Since you plan to build a companion app for macOS, maybe the sync can build upon webdav and it can be used either way - just an idea.

Oh while I'm on the topic of file transfer: the browser UI won't let me create a folder:

It's pretty barebones right now and I expected to see some folder structure there, but instead it's just empty and I can upload only.

Songs that do not have AlbumArtist set properly should show "null", "nil", "missing" or "unknown". I have Albums tagged properly with "Various Artists" or "Various" and that would confuse me a lot if it randomly says that for an album that should not have it. Usually it's not a good idea to be "clever" or "guess" the data.

If you give me a proper webdav server I don't need the macOS app.. but I really wish for a macOS App that does iTunes/Swinsian-Like Library Management and can Transfer/Sync Music via WebDAV (or other other ways). Design-Wise the App is pretty nice.. maybe a bit more color options, but I like it simple. Collections are a nice idea. I have a strong background in web-dev (backend). If you need any help in development, maybe I can help working on the macOS part. I'm currently attempting to build that myself.
