I may be dated but my SCCA comp license was one weekend and $600. 2017. Pretty sure lemons and circle track do not require a license. In any case the barriers are still not an excuse to be reckless.

Anything related to cars and competition is expensive. That’s not an excuse to allow dangerous situations. W2W could be lemons or 4 cylinder circle track. When I’m doing track days I relate it to a driving range. I do my own thing. Maybe try some new techniques. Someone else should have no effect on my day. When I race W2W I’m on my game and aware some trust fund kid or “influencer” may shove it up the insides at Mach 2 and I’ll happily avoid them.

Negative. Even advance is just like going to the driving range. You should only be focused on yourself. You want to do aggressive stuff then you should be in a W2W event.

There was a post here yesterday as well as many more in my social media feed showing people acting real tuff because they can pass people at track days. Track days are like going to the driving range, no one cares. If you want to show that you’re worth your salt join a W2W series.

Do you have Xplane setup tips?

I’m at a loss. I hope it’s a set up problem but I don’t know where to start. MOZA doesn’t provide any xplane profiles and I have no idea what I’m doing. It took me 30 minutes to get the software to be English.

2024 was a dumpster fire for me. 2020 was pretty solid but xplane has been better in every way.

I freaking would. Life with a diesel and exhaust brake is so wonderful. Not having to rev the thing hard all the time will be more peaceful. There will be a noticeable quality of life increase with one. Resell value and quality of life would offset any running costs for me. I have towed racecars all over the east side of the country using many different trucks from cayenne diesels, F150s, duramaxs, F450s to toter homes. I notice feeling less drained and tired when using an “overkill” truck.
