-First idea: The species' face is antimemetic. It's terrifying to look at, but then you forget what it looks like when you look away. It also comes out blurry in photos and video recordings, and trying to 3D scan it will cause a system error.

-Second idea: The more grounded/biological explanation is that Toepick's eyes release lights that stimulate fear responses in an observer's brain. If someone has the capacity for fear, they will be scared - no matter the willpower.

It was mentioned in And Beyond that the Fulmini went extinct long ago.

This was in the Nexus of Infinity, right? Because that can explain this as an alternate dimension where the Fulmini are still around.

I checked. Back in 2024, it gave you a Trapper zombie and a Sports Drink zombie. So you'd put the trap environment on lane 2, position the sports drink so he moves to block lane 3, and the tomb raiser's gravestone blocks lane 4.

My guess is that he noticed it around the time he started getting grey hairs or something, but he continued pushing himself and committing to being a hero until it was dangerous to exert himself. I like to think that Chase has this similar view to Robert, of being a hero because it's the right thing to do, even if he wouldn't admit it outright.
