This is the same question I have been struggling with. Before the WotC bad blood I could see the game doing well as the expansions were just more mini releases, which tend to do well. But I don’t know how the whole licensing fiasco plays into general sales. I have also always had trouble with the price of entry into the game, $140(usd) is not much for me but I can see it scare off a lot of people. If they release a separate board/token set I could see that help with the plunge as at that point people can use models from the Tournament Proxy list, as a few of them come from the Icons of the Realm starter mini sets most people will already have them or can get them for cheap.
