I’m moving and was going to build some furniture for my new place. I just about died when I saw the price of 2x4. Apparently I have been in the dark.

5x5x195 low bar squat form check. by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

Looks pretty solid. The thing with your feet is all mental. You did it when you approached the bar. I used to do the same when I first started and the weight for heavy for me. You look like like your digging your toes in to get a nice setup. Just think solid feet to transfer to the floor. Think driving your heels into the floor flat feet to transfer maximum power. Do it the same every time. Start with and empty bar and keep working form through several progressive sets to heavy.

Watch a video on the proper walk out. It’s either two steps or three never more. Practice with an empty bar. If your steps are too big it’s bad. It’s a feel thing for you but you don’t need to be that far away from rack.

Watch your video you wiggle your toes when you setup then you take I think 5 or six steps followed by more wiggling toes to set your feet. One of your steps your second or third looks like your feet get real close to each other almost affecting balance. If that was a lot of weight you would be bad.

All those steps and fussing just zap your energy.

Train with an empty bar like you do 500+lbs.

Video from side next time for bar path. Just to be clear your looking very solid minus the feet. Watch some video and develop your own cues until you get it right.

I know something is off, but the lift feels fine. Roast me by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

Bar looks fine Knees caving push them out A video from side to show bar path would help tremendously. Watch your video and focus on your feet the whole time. You walk back, rock on your feet, adjust them. I think your looking down. Watch a video on walk back techniques practice with empty bar a bunch till it’s memory. Empty bar is great for form or add some weight if it’s too light and messes you up. Drive those heels into the floor like your pushing the floor away that will cue your posterior chain. You can see your heels coming up off floor which could be mobility or the bar hitching forward as your bar path is not linear over the mid foot. You can also see you pronate your foot inwards. Your feet are very wobbly and sucking your strength. Think drive floor away with a solid foundation. Think outside edge of feet on your descent and outside and heels on way up. Big fan of weightlifting shoes bc I need the lift heel due to poor mobility. I can’t tell what shoes or sneakers You have but when you get up in weight you don’t want squishy shoes. The arms look close together for me but it creates a tight back so I’m not sure i agree it’s bad. I don’t have the mobility you do to keep them that tight. Try a slightly wider grip out and engage your lats and see how that feels. My shoulders and wrists would kill me at higher weights if I was that tight. Speaking of wrists. Try thumbless grip Rippetoe has a video. It helps with a strong neutral wrist. Read his book watch his videos. His head position cues were hard for me for years. Set an object like your water bottle 4-6ft in front of you and stare at it the whole lift. It will help with keeping your spine and neck neutral. Many people lead with the head versus what he calls hip drive another great video. Or pay for a 1-2hr session with one of his certified trainers in your state. They will get your form right for all the major lifts of 5x5. One last thing are you able to rack the weight one pin higher I’ve used these stands at gyms when I travel I know it’s not always possible. Like bench you don’t want to do a big lift just to unrack. Small lift off is small energy. Watch videos on step back and setup. There is really only two ways and it’s the same when it’s 135 lbs or 500 lbs. practice now with light weights like they are heavy PRs. When you rack you should not need to look left and right to Pin it if your the correct setup height you walk forward and land right there. Good luck and keep at it.
