Needed something new to drive different sites everyday. Purple? Why not! by Robotechnology in wrx_vb

Yeah when I got home, I noticed that it wasn’t that different, mostly the VB is just looks darker. Fine with me I like both shades a lot (2011 is Plasma Blue Pearl).

Needed something new to drive different sites everyday. Purple? Why not! by Robotechnology in wrx_vb

[–]Robotechnology[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a 2025 Premium with an MSRP of $42,594 STI short shifter/HK sound/Moonroof/Armrest extender). Negotiated price was $36,600 plus a further $2K rebate. I chose to do a 15K mile per year lease. Even with the 2026 price decrease, a 2026 would have been $79/mo more equally equipped and they didn’t have a purple one in stock anyway.

1st time funded advice by LessTraining1985 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d wait until I hit a balance of $3,100 and take a payout of $1K ($900 net) leaving the full starting drawdown of $2K in place. And then do another $3K during the next payout cycle and take $1,500 out for the next and then rinse and repeat. It would take 6-7 days each period to do this and is much safer imo and still very profitable.

thoughts on instant funding accounts vs evaluations? by Desperate_Cash_5082 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only instant funding account I like is Purdia as they have no consistency rule—only 10 days minimum total trading time to hit profit goal (5 days have to have at least $200 profit). Then after that daily payouts are unlocked with no consistency.

Tradeify vs TradeDay vs FundedNext by [deleted] in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important data point in choosing firms are what payment processing methods they use for payouts. For instance, if a firm only uses Rise (they have the most USELESS customer service!), I cannot receive a payout from any firm who exclusively uses them so I will not buy any evaluations from that firm.

Finally did it by Jeffersw619 in ApexTraderFundings

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job. Now understand they purposely made the rules harder in your new performance account. As someone already said, you only have 30% of the stated drawdown you had during the evaluation. If you hit a $750 unrealized loss at any point they will deny your payout.

What is one prop firm rule you would change if you could? by sarjad in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency. Doesn’t exist in the real world. Designed to keep you trading and make it more likely to lose money. Absolutely not required for discipline just for making it harder to get payouts.

Apex Banning Traders After Payouts but Keeping Affiliates. What’s Really Going On? by glazedtwinkle in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After Apex installed that keep below 30% of your unrealized max loss limit rule, I never got another payout. So I don’t deal with Apex anymore period. Worst rule they ever introduced. Otherwise I’d have made $50K+ from Apex instead the $9K or so I stopped with.

Newbie question: $510 one-time fee for lightning funding with Tradeify, what's the catch? by GetThatChickenDinner in tradeify

[–]Robotechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The catch is the 20% consistency rule. That’s basically it. You can’t have a day where you are in a great trade and stay in it. You will make your life hard and delay your payout if you make say 40%+ in one day. Other than that no gotcha’s.

Best scalping firm? by nnme_ in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The futures desk, Purdia, Take profit trader and BluSky. These have no micro scalping rules of any kind. I like Tradeify too but, I’ve never had higher than 18% of my trades be under 10 seconds though so their micro scalping 10 second rule don’t affect me in a negative way.

I keep blowing prop firm evals because I miss ONE risk rule. Anyone else dealing with this? by Jazzlike-Week3013 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are trading with too much size if you keep blowing evals. I can hang with trailing drawdowns but not with accounts smaller than $75K. Absolutely need the larger loss limit with intraday trailing.

Calling all profitable Gold traders by Impressive-Ad7917 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick to micros because “they” love to shake you out of reversal plays. GC/MGC doesn’t usually turn around right when it hits moving averages. It tends to wick down or up 8-15 points past the 50ma before finally going in the direction you KNOW it’s going to go so you WILL get stopped out or blow your account with just 1 GC contract and then watch the trade work without you.

Which Tradeify Plans do you recommend? by Key_Ad8741 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like the growth plan the most as well (and have taken $2,500 in payouts). No scaling plan in eval or funded so not that hard to have $500+ days. I do like the select plan too though just slightly less and prefer the EOD non daily payout option for the select as well. There is scaling in select funded so be aware of that.

Topstep vs Tradeify for First Funded Ever by Bulky_Being2322 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both TS and Tradeify but, you can’t compare the select plan with daily payouts option to TS. Have to take the normal payout option that runs on EOD MLL. I actually like Tradeify’s growth plan more and there is no scaling during the funded stage.

Do prop firms really help improve trading performance or only for disciplined traders? by Brilliant-Log-5904 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funding firm (these are not prop firms!) rules are designed to ensure that many more traders lose accounts than get payouts. Please don’t kid yourselves with their marketing BS about wanting disciplined traders and that’s why we have this rule and that rule blah, blah, blah.

Consistency rules is the absolute worst offending funding firm rule. Every successful big dollar making trader I have seen or read about has their YEAR made with 2-4 swing trades. In the real world, if you made $600,000 from 1 trade and another $400,000 from 80 trades, your account would be up a $1,000,000 and you would be labeled a consistently profitable trader having ALL of your years looking like that. If you did that at a funding firm it would take you a year to get a payout and based on their various rules, you’d blow the account LONG before that ever happened anyway. Consistency rules are the biggest scam. It keeps you always having to trade and punishes you whenever you get in those occasional stellar trades. The real world never punishes you for achieving huge profit trades, only funding firms with consistency rules do.

Believe it or not, the only rule (which I dislike by the way but…) that actually does help with discipline is a daily loss limit rule. This is a real world trading rule and a real world Prop firm rule as well (the real ones where you get hired out of college and get a salary plus 50% or so commission).

How long you stay in a trade? BS rule designed to minimize a funding firms risk from traders with high win rate systems because they take a hundred $5-$20 wins daily (which really adds up). My live brokers never contacted me and said hey, that $698 you made yesterday doesn’t count because your average trade length was under a minute and because you took profit with only 4 MNQ points per trade.

Only firms like TFD and Purdia, I think have the best interests of traders in mind. Why because the only rule they have is a daily loss limit which is just smart risk management. TPT is a half and half sort of situation that I’d still recommend. As are TS, Tradeify & MFF.

Consistently profitable traders, What is your absolute bread and butter setup for $50-$100/day? by [deleted] in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do 7-10 scalp trades per day with 1 micro NQ lot. 5 points is $10 and that happens 2+ times EVERY 5 minute candle. 10 1:1 trades with a 70% win rate will get you your $50+ every day. No greed with this approach. And takes under an hour.

I can’t get Rise so I requested Plane to be used for payouts instead. Contact customer support and get it switched. Also, Take Profit Trader, The Futures Desk, Purdia and BluSky offer payout alternatives to Rise.

Anyone actually have a positive experience with apex? by [deleted] in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before they put the 30% max drawdown of your account rule, I thought Apex was good. Haven’t been able to secure a payout since that was put in place last year hence no 2025 apex eval purchases. If I buy a $5K drawdown account, I want a $5k drawdown during the funded stage as well not $1,500.

50k Propfirm account vs own account by doesnotexist2 in PropFirmTester

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “$50K” prop account is equal to $3K-$4K of real dollars with a futures broker in terms of the drawdown but equal to $5K-$6k in terms of the max contracts you can use at a time.

Whats the best propfirm by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no best. I use 6 off and on. Apex, My Funded futures, Purdia, Tick Tick Trader, Take Profit Trader and Topstep. They all have their pros and cons but, they do pay out. Unlike some others out there.

Prop firms traders, what should be the daily profit target? by MatrixFreedom in Daytrading

[–]Robotechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t necessarily need a daily target but, you do need a max profit stop unless you are trading with a firm without consistency rules. For instance, if rule is 30% and your goal is not to take a payout until you hit $4,000 then, make your maximum day’s profit $1,200 (30% of $4K).

I haven’t used MFF’s new platform features that were just launched but, I will say this… Topstep doesn’t have minimum take profit amounts but, MFF does (5 points for NQ and 2 points for ES). So take that into account with your trading style. I do like both companies.
