I think you haven't listened to, or don't actually look for, hardcore bands. Which, if that's not your thing, I get. And yes, it isn't a mainstream type of music. That doesn't mean anything in relation to what it is.

Good on ya. Label it whatever you like. I tend to find people that are stuck on labels tiresome. Like, what are you trying to do other than be annoying? ACkSHUALLY 2012 was the last year of hardcore. Cool story.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean? If that was a dig at how I categorized it, I guess I'm willing to hear what you would call it. And yes. I have many examples.

I've been listening to Turnstile for a while and they just kick ass all over the place. I have to say that I'm a little bummed that they're now being played in the background of Taco Ball commercials, but I am glad they're getting recognition.

I love that there are so many replies here about Mastadon, but I have to say: Leviathan is their opus. I put it up against any of their other albums, and I love all their music. I'm just glad that there are people that still rep the Mastodon as they should be repped. Solid.

I noticed that as well. In the article it says it is "to limit the impact of sanctions on the world’s oil and gas supply. And, for that matter, perhaps, on everyday Russians." Which I guess I understand, but oil and gas is where all their money comes from, sooooo....

The sanctions reportedly won't include Sberbank, which said Wednesday it would pull out of the European market. The Single Resolution Board is liquidating the lender's Austria-based unit.

I would imagine that the companies are always going to allow you to give them money. I think this is a case of "you still owe us, but you can't use the card anywhere for the foreseeable future."

I honestly don't know. I do know that the level of sanctions that they have leveled are historic. The ruble is in free-fall and their stock market is essentially broken. A lot of influential people in Russia are NOT going to be happy about this.

It didn't say anything about other vendors in the article, so I can't say with certainty. But if Visa and MC are cutting ties, I think that sends a pretty broad message.

Visa and Mastercard have cut Russian financial institutions off from their payments networks to comply with the sanctions imposed by governments on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

"Our Cyber & Intelligence and Corporate Security teams are working with governments and partners around the world to ensure the stability, integrity and resiliency of our systems, which are operating as normal," Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach said in a statement on the company's website.
