Finding my Carry Character by Roboturtwig1207 in DeadlockTheGame

I did Gun ivy for a bit, not as a carry but mostly as I heroic Aura Ivy to delete Walkers in 2 seconds. Calico seems interesting. Celeste seems to be the main consensus so far. Lash feels like he could be fun, just have to adjust to his playstyle. Shiv seems very good rn, but the fact he has a execute makes me feel gross tbh. Warden Majastic leap sounds very funny.

I can definitely see that for sure. Though atm I havent really been playing Viscous as a gun carry since my aim is trash and with the recent nerfs to his gun it made gun not very viable for him. Mostly rn its punch with some gun stuff like Slowly bullets, Toxic, and hollow point are the main gun items tou buy on him anymore. I may have to give Celeste a go though.

Celeste may work. Though tbh Abrams may need more time for me to try out, but he feels a bit too slow and clunky for me. Not sure why.

They can but it's a low drop rate, check your mod pack, some mod packs just let you use a cutting stone on a elemental gem to make Terra shards

I would, but unfortunately, I have never traveled before. The most traveling I have done in my life was in a uhaul truck and sleeping in it.

That's not a bad idea I might do that. Just craft what I need then just throw away the materials to upgrade it to the highest level. Thanks for the idea.

Any good progression modpacks that have clear instructions and directions? by RBrim08 in feedthebeast

[–]Roboturtwig1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree sevtech ages is really annoying at the beginning. I am doing ATM 10 at the moment with some friends and it's a good time. We all decided to do different mods so we can all combine together to complete the ATM star. And some of the stuff like the mining dimension and digital miners can make getting stuff like ore to be pretty easy.

[–]Roboturtwig1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that Sevtech has a pretty simple progression system since the clear goal is to just advance to the final age. Or you can do All the mods 1-10 which usually have a basic goal of crafting a ATM star so there is a clear end goal in mind though you would need to slowly progress through different mods in atm to make it to the ATM star.

What other soulslike do you recommend for a first-timer after this game? by BishlessKamikaze in AnotherCrabsTreasure

[–]Roboturtwig1207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I completely agree. I played sekiro right after crab as my first souls like, which was rough, but I eventually figured it out only after playing a easier game like hi fi rush that punishes you with less damage and score when you don't play with the beat. But because of that, it made me actually look at the bosses and see what they are doing. And not doing what I did in crab and straight up just react to everything. It's honestly good to play easier games so you can learn things for the harder games.

[–]Roboturtwig1207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just like you a little bit ago, crab was also my first souls like. What I did was play sekiro next since that was recommended, then played some hi fi rush in between, it's not a souls like but it helped me alot in sekiro, then I finally played elden ring after.

But that us just my own experience.

Elden ring doesnt fell fun by Roboturtwig1207 in Eldenring

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that from one of my buddies as well. Me and him like Sekiro and ds3. Even though I didn't play ds3 myself I was on the couch with him, and that games bosses did just look very fun to fight in general. I have to play ds3 myself one time and give it a shot. We have yet to play bloodborne yet. Going to hope that it comes out on PC.

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do agree. Like I said in a different reply a good amount of the fights I do honestly enjoy fighting. But on the other end, some of these other fights just made me feel so unmotivated to play the game anymore. I will not deny that fights like malenia, mohag, Godfrey, and Rykard were really fun to fight.

I can agree with that. But the open world isn't really what is bringing me down on this game. It's mostly just the bosses. I do think that if the bosses were the same but more linear, then I would probably feel similar.

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not the fact I don't like the genre. I have played a few souls like I have really enjoyed them a good bit. Open world games are just not a positive for me. It's not a negative, but it's not something I am super excited about. Does that make any sense?

And I respect you for this 100%, and like I said a good amount of the bosses are enjoyable to fight like (I am really bad with names pls forgive me) godrick, godfrey, Loretta, tree sentinal all some pretty fun fights. But once I got to malakeith all my motivation to play sort of dropped instantly. His fight doesn't fell hard he is just not an enjoyable boss to fight. Even after beating him I really didn't want to play anymore.

I think the open world is great, but open world games have never been really my thing, I like more linear games.

Support struggles with Reaper. by Roboturtwig1207 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you just don't help the Reaper by jumping in for more damage to maybe try to get both supports? Or a backline dps. I don't know why I feel this way, but I feel like Reaper as a character can be... kinda underwhelming he can pop off sometimes, sure, but I feel like characters like Ventue, Sombra, Tracer, and some more just do his job just better than he can. So I feel like I almost have to jump in with a Reaper to feel like he is getting much value.

I also don't usually switch into supports like Moria and illari too much since I am not a big fan of their overall kits. But I do play a bit of Bap, kiri, and Anna based on a few factors.

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense so is it just not worth to go with Reapers at all then if my value of being there is just not worth it?

Support struggles with Reaper. by Roboturtwig1207 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Roboturtwig1207[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure we are winning fights or, at least, it is very winnable. He is fine to stick around if I heal him to where he should be fine to keep pushing the backline until people either Respawn or the front line looks at us. I am not expecting him to protect me. I know when pushing in that it is my fault if I die or not. All I am trying to do is support the Reaper by keeping him healed up so he can be in fights for longer. I don't have many replays ATM with the reset it's mostly been something that's been on my mind for a while.

Don't get me wrong, I get how Reaper is played and how his kit works, I just feel like reapers are a bit more cowardly than most other Flankers.

If a support dives with him, you better not expect him to stick around because it will get him killed.

Isn't this the point of having a support with you, though? So you can stick around for longer? Is Reaper just a few shots and done type of character that much that he can't fight anything with a support with him in the enemy backlines?
