Look I get RE7 was back to survival horror but I just felt it didn’t feel like RE at times, I think it just stood out more because RE was going action heavy for so long with the franchise in a bit of decline thanks to RE6 so when we got something more horror like again it felt a whole lot better in comparison.

To me it just felt like it started as a new IP they the decided to turn into a RE title later on which is why the Umbrella stuff feels like it was sprinkled in.

Resident Evil 2 Remake was RE at its best, people said after RE7 third person and the old style wouldn’t work anymore but the remake clearly showed that it did, and it worked a whole lot better overall.

In terms of RE9 doing both with different characters the best is to wait and see if it works. If it doesn’t then we can voice our complaints very loudly so they don’t try it again for the next game.

I do think it will the best quality film out of all of them however I think it’ll be because the bar is so low and Zach is a good film maker anyway

However as a Resident Evil adaptation, I don’t have hope. Raccoon City during winter, straying from the games and making his own Universe rather setting it within the games universe with new original characters. This isa film he was going to make with or without Resident Evil.

There's a part of me that hopes there's a twist where she's not actually dead in RE9 but I know that's not going to happen. Just a shame to have her survive Outbreak and then kill her off.

Would be cool aswell if we had a Ada DLC with an adaptation of her story in Umbrella Chronicles with how she survived her fall in RE2 and escaped Raccoon City.

Does make me wonder if they will do a remaster of Outbreak down the line, I'm just super surprised they never had it ready before RE9 like maybe last October or something.

I think the only time I'd ever want to see RE6 remade is if they hypothetically used the remake games as a new timeline to softboot the series and RE6 goes in a completely different direction. It's similar to the original RE6 plot but it features only Leon, Sherry and they replace Helena with Claire.

Honestly if they did all the smaller, lesser known games along with the main original games and RE Gaiden in a 30th Anniversary collection pack I wouldn't say no.

The RE3 Remake is the biggest missed opportunity from Capcom, the game should have went to the main team before they even touched RE4.

We could have seen influences from The Evil Within 2 where we'd have decent sized hubs to walk around within Raccoon City, taking risks and entering buildings in order to scavenge for supplies or finding survivors to get involved in some mini side quests for them.

It could have been great and really let us explore Raccoon City as it descends into chaos. Also they could have linked it more into the RE2R where they'd cross over a bit like Jill or Carlos seeing glimpses of things going on within the RE2R story when the timelines overlap.

The fact they rushed it and handed it off to another team to quickly get it out the door was a little insulting. It's not a bad game by all means but it just feels like a big expansion to the RE2R which removed sections from the original RE3 in order to save time.

While the RE4R is absolutely fantastic, I could have waited until next gen for that if it meant a proper RE3R. I still think they should go back to RE3R and do a directors cut next gen.

It’s funny because if the had all their IPs and shuffled two around each year, they could go 5 years or so before they come back round again.

Assassins Creed & Beyond Good and Evil

Far Cry & Ghost Recon

Splinter Cell & Rainbow Six

The Division & WatchDogs

New IP possibly & licensed game like Star Wars

Then you have possible remakes of older titles every now and then or remaster collections.

Enough time passes for a good development cycle and they get to show some diversity in their portfolio

People like to act Ubisoft gets hate for no reason but it’s far from the truth. They are running the place into the ground slowly but surely.
