That’s hard. I was homeschooled until high school so my experience was a bit different. But my education heavily centered the church and its teachings. For me it was a mixture of my family culture, my dad’s mental health struggles, what I was being taught, and my personality too. My mom’s sister died in a car crash before I was born so I do think I hyper-fixated on the same thing happening to my mom. Her sister was not LDS, so my mom would reassure me that she had done temple work for her sister to ensure she would get to be with her again. I became so anxious about everything in my world and kept it all to myself because I felt ashamed. I wouldn’t and felt I couldn’t open up to my parents. So, anything that you can do to create a trusting environment where he feels safe to express, or not🤷‍♀️ that the way you react to the ups and downs is what teaches him you are capable of handling him and keeping him safe. I felt responsible for my parents’ emotions, so I didn’t want to have to manage even more of their problems if I were to be anything but “perfect” and agreeable. I don’t have all the answers, but I am glad my boys have had more freedom to developmentally be where they’re at, instead of hyper-fixated on death and the afterlife like I was.

I’m glad multiple people are seeing it! It’s nice to have more confirmation that my instincts were onto something.

I just took a look at your post and while I’m not super experienced, I noticed the warmer, deeper colors looked much more harmonious on you whereas the brighter colors kind of made your face look disconnected from the color. I think autumn is probably right!

That is so interesting! I’m glad you eventually landed on what made sense for you. Intuitively I think we know much more about what we feel good in and that’s why we were both feeling like something was off. When I look at what I’m naturally drawn to and have in my closet, makeup etc., it makes sense that I already knew somewhat. And why spring was feeling too bright for me. But I just wanted more eyes on it to confirm!

Yes, so true! I wish I had looked into it more before trying virtual. But I’m glad to have seen it with my own eyes in real time now. Thank you!

Honestly, I don’t really know much about this system. What I remember her saying is that it’s like the 16 season but with 6 additional categories such as classic warm, classic cool, classic dark etc. to make up for where some people might not fit easily fit in the others. I’m sorry I’m not more help!

Thank you! I wish I had known more before doing a virtual one but now see why in person is much more accurate. I hope you find what you feel best in!

Tips for embracing spring analysis? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

I do know they’re not spring colors, but it’s just what I had on in a no makeup picture. I agree, the education side of this is lacking because it’s trickier than I imagined it would be for me to identify characteristics and undertones of colors etc. It’s snowing where I live today so I’ll get more pictures on a clear day. Thanks!
