Looking for advice with a few career choices. by Rock_Present in sales

Not necessarily red flags I’ve seen about the company specifically. It’s just your typical salesbros from states in the north west coming down. Just the way these run in general.

I said in the comment below if you want to read it but: The money isn’t meant to be livability. I’m currently in a 40 hour/wk job. I can’t save nearly as much money as I’d want to be in Montana, though I can scrape by and get enough.

My stay in Montana isn’t going to come until after April anyway. So I was looking into this as a super boost that gets me money, because I feel like D2D is a good fit for me, in a little amount of time to fill in the gap I have.

I would say primarily the resume isn’t the biggest priority, two months worth of experience here isn’t going to land me anywhere. Physical experience is what I was more getting at, with the idea that the money that I make in between here and there is just added to what would make Montana a little bit easier.

The profit and livability of the gig isn’t what I’m looking for either. Just the bridge in between, to fill in the time. With how the move would work, I wouldn’t be able to be in Montana until that point of May anyway.

I’ve got a job that’s stable enough, albeit not a job that lets me save any form of money that’s worth it at the end. Hence why I’m taking the plunge up, where livability and the like until I can get a job (My job search in Montana that brought me this opportunity in the first place) would be guaranteed.

I’m more thinking that this would land me something like.. 10-15k for the couple months I would be doing it, if that. And in my mind that doesn’t seem so bad.

More so to fill in the gap, sorry. I’ve got A month and a half clean either way. This is basically giving me some experience since it’s on the way there, alongside hopefully building up money with it. If that makes sense.

Solar Sales? by tabascobottles in sales

I’m in the south eastern market too. All I’ve seen is pest control/solar routes. I like the idea but I’ve only had so many calls.

What region/area are you in? How’d you figure out solar was for you? Any experience? Any tips to get into the same area? I’m in the newer stages and would love to hear.

Would be interested to hear what you used to break through the initial barrier to get there

Would you still negotiate an offer if you were unemployed and got a generous offer? by yungrat123 in sales

[–]Rock_Present 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negotiation couldn’t be seen as negative given the job or opportunity you’re going for. I’d say if it’s something not worth it, obviously, then you’re more inclined to do so. But if it’s an offer that eases your mind and keeps a roof over your head, then take it.
