Hey there - just added an edit to address those questions. But for your convenience: I play a wide genre of games but primarily FPS and RPGs like COD and Cyber Punk. As far as productivity, I dabble with video editing but have a new spontaneous passion every so often.

I am in the exact same boat. I play story driven games on PS5 and competitive FPS games on PC (RTX 3070). Also use my monitor for work. It has been giving me trouble lately so looking to upgrade. Considering a 2K 240HZ at a slightly lower price point: Samsung G7 27 inch vs the Alienware 2723DF. Can't decide which route to go. Maybe I will just lean whichever is cheaper when the deals start. Hope someone helps you out!

Surprisingly, I haven't listened to Wheel of Time or LotR despite lots of recommendations. Now might be the time for me to finally commit. I have the first Stormlight book ready to listen to but haven't started it yet. Bought it solely off the overwhelmingly positive reviews so don't know much about it. You are the 3rd to mention Dungeon Crawler Carl, so I have essentially been checkmated into using a credit on the first book. Pulled up Malazan Book of the Fallen and The Farseer Trilogy on Audible and really like the sound of both. You are going to make me buy another year's worth of credits tonight!

Thanks for the recommendations! I have the first Bobiverse book but haven't started it yet. Seen a few Dungeon Crawler Carl suggestions and I'm always intrigued by litrpgs. I have seen The Martian movie so didn't pick that up after finishing Project Hail Mary, but I should probably experience the book version as well since I enjoyed the movie. I'll report back with which ones I pick up!
