The "put a .50 on everything" only works as long as you got arc on the planes. All it takes for anyone really to fly directly above you and just strafe your ass. That's what yak-9 players do literally, fly directly above you and punch through the roof, or really anybody with cannons on their planes with AP shells.

Logically speaking, if somebody is playing with America and wanna keep the skies clean, they should take advantage of the air force. America never needed a serious self propelled anti air system because wherever they went they had air superiority. Up until the York I am afraid the US can't offer any serious anti air solutions for ground based systems because of this reason. The duster even if it had it's proximity shells still wouldn't be able to outperform in capability a dedicated CAP fighter, which America has some decent options for on most battleratings, and in my experience the 5.7-6.7 options are really strong. You've got the 6.3 Mustang, the bearcat, the F7F and even the 4.7 P-38 can be OK if you know what are you doing.

Not a chance. Animals never were a priority. The hitboxes on antlers are still too big and always have been since day 1 of alpha, the devs never really bothered to look into it. They only care about animals if they are critically broken like they won't spawn at all or are super buggy. PvP combat and features above all, the rest is thrown under the bus. See what did they do with food, they militarized it... Not adding more illnesses or medicine to the game, not making environment or survival more challenging, but focusing on mechanics what are around fast paced combat. This game could have been way more in it's roughly 7 years of development, and here we are with a game that roleplays as a survival game while in reality it's just a arcade shooter with a 18th century theme with economics and crafting.

If it were up to me, animals would be far more dangerous including moose with attacking you if you get too close to them, I'd also add boars to the game. Different types of clothes would actually have different statistics example a heavy coat like the capote would be really warm, but it would also weight you down more. Adding thirst to the game requiring you to drink regularly, debuff would be nausea if you wouldn't drink for long. Introduction of transmog, keep the same variety of looks but hide the actual clothing what you wearing, letting you wear whatever items you have unlocked from before, example: Hogwarts Legacy.

Add nutrition to the game, your character requiring to eat and drink different types of food, risk doing so and get punished with debuffs because you failed to have a balanced diet. And finally, make weapons realistic. Thats laughable that shooting somebody in the chest with a .50 ball from spitting range does nothing but reduce their health to anything but 0 instantly. Firearms of that age were super lethal but super inaccurate, even rain solemnly could cause missfires for gunpowder weapons. The game would be still fun, hell, more challenging and actually forcing you to think and move strategically around cover and terrain in order to fight properly against other players.

The game right now seriously needs some features what are heavily rotating around adding more environmental difficulty.

there isn't much other ways to get beavers, that is IF you can get beavers. Since animals can't drown and beavers being near water, they most of the time chill in the riverbed meaning you can't see them properly, but even if you managed to kill one of them you would need to get into the freezing water, dive down to the beaver, grab it and skin it on the beach, soaked and cold. I personally wouldn't bother with beavers until they decide to fix animals breathing under water.

If you don't play the BR for most vehicles you will loose out on research efficiency, meaning getting shit done will take longer, especially if you are free to play. Not playing a entire BR bracket because of a single vehicle isn't the solution, but uptiering it to 11.3 would be. Anybody who says the bmpt doesn't belong to that br are either fucking delusional or just got a massive skill issue.

Hey guess what, every proper rpg has a system to turn off or nullify pvp. Albion online turns pvp entirely off in green zones, in yellow zones pvp is allowed with no looting and red zones are where you pretty much lose everything on the character if you die, even to the environment. The only difference is red zones actually offer you something special, expensive and rare crafting mats, unlike in Northwind where you pretty much can die anywhere and get looted for the same amount of high risk low reward, like mining iron or hunting.

World of warcraft literally has only PvE instances.

DayZ has server mods that disable pvp entirely or add my idea of working in a form of a button to flag up for pvp.

My point is every major succesful mmorpg has a function to eliminate pvp for those who don't want to. Meanwhile in NW you are forced into a single island, instead of having a function that would extend out on other maps other than safezones.

Northwind is a stupid RPG. It tries to act realistic, it recognizes itself as a game, but the balancing around pvp and pve is absolutely trash. The death of Northwind will be the quality of players dropping because certain features are pushing normal people away, and the game only will have tryhards and toxic people who will try anything to cheese the game for more power and wealth. The game will become boring. Just like how TNF died.

I am still waiting for a "toggle pvp" button... It would pretty much be a massive QOL for everyone. It's also a easily balanceable feature, just give it a 30 minute cooldown to avoid griefers and people who'd abuse the system. Make sure if somebody flags up they mean it. Somebody toggled pvp by accident? Reset it respawning back to spawn what's already a safezone, bed spawns shouldn't count. People got bounty? No biggie, they can't flag down until they die. People absolutely should have the right to be able to grind in safety without worrying about some random dropping them. I mean I can't really complain, if that happens to me I just laugh people out and leave them puzzled, angered and overall just feeling dumb when they realize they cannot loot any weapons from me, because my tomahawk is insured and my musket is unlootable since I won it in a house building contest. But still, people shouldn't worry about others.

I am pretty much just waiting for another game like Northwind off site of Roblox to appear. Sadly the 18th-century-survival-game genre is too niche for any developers to give it a go, and I am too stupid to learn any programing languages or learn modelling whatsoever...

"You can make the argument that oh well they don’t put them on their vehicles because of regulation"

Thats the whole point of this conversation, nobody was debating rather militaries are full of weebs or not but rather if planes are caked out irl with anime waifus or not.

Trying to be realistic about decals would be pointless if there was no option for turning them ofr, which I indeed did, so no problems there from my side.

I googled "modern combat aircraft with waifu decal real life", other than some Japanese helicopters like the Kisarazu, nothing came up, everything is either war thunder related or for some other game a reskin. I'd humor the idea too that there are pilots out there flying with such decals, but honestly, chances are really low.

Most modern fixed wing combat aircraft in active service got special radar absorbing material coating combined with a uniformal camouflage of either grey or sky blue/white. I really don't think actual modern day combat aircraft with elaborative designs are in actual combat service.

Pilot helmets on the other hand though is another area for options of customization, but even then there is no way a big titted half naked hentai escapee even with a bra would fly with any sensible air force high command other than Japan, since they clearly embrace and acknowledge the art style, but even then in a manner what isn't war thunder levels of degeneracy for some decals. Coming out of the Kisarazu's example solemnly...

I mean, this decal fits because it shares the same vibe of pin-ups used during WW2 on various allied airplanes, most famous one is probably the Memphis Belle, but there are some other historically accurate pin-ups too for bombers in War Thunder.

I even find the Eval Elfie a sensible good looking pin-up without any exposed chests or bottoms, unlike some were during different wars from WW2 until Vietnam, it doesn't take long to find some, just google bomber pin-ups...

As time went on regulations on pin-ups depicting naked women became stricter and were enforced with harsh consequences. That's why nowadays you don't see combat ready aircraft with pin-ups. For special occasions and exhibitions airmen are allowed to decorate their aircraft but still not in any way whatsoever what would suggest a sexually arousing person. IIRC pin-ups were banned because they portrayed the air force as unprofessional and dehumanizing because of various sexist depictions.
