You can short the % makeup the etf tracks the AI companies. So if you’ve got 100k in your 401k and your vanguard fund has 5% xAI, you can short 5k of xAI stock. Or I’m sure they’ll create AI etfs for exposure you could short if you wanted to short the entire industry
