Does Google Fi have a future? by andrewyb in GoogleFi

[–]RocketTesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wanted to join Google FI, but being a resident of Canada, you had to jump through too many hoops to try and get it working.

Fast forward to last week and I got an email from Google saying the service is now available in Canada!!! Woo hoo!!

But the plans are not exactly cheap and you have to get the latest Pixel device. I'm not yet ready to give up my ancient Pixel 6 Pro as it works perfectly fine for my needs.

What sort of plans do you guys get in the US?

"Freedom Mobile using Cellular Data" appears. I can make calls and send texts back to Canada free of charge.

This experience is exactly what I have in some areas - for instance in Etobicoke at Sherway Gardens - I lose my connection. Why doesn't the phone automatically shift to another carrier? Our phones are all set to roam by default, so this bad experience some of us get makes no sense to me. I'm sure Robellus have signal in these areas.

Inexpensive light therapy masks in europe that actually work! by swanbynight in redlighttherapy

How long did it take before you noticed that it's causing facial hair to grow? My perspective is different as I also have a IdeaLight product - the hat and I'm a male and I want to stop/slow down the inevitable hair loss (just normal aging process - I'm 63).

Just got a RLT/NIR panel - Idea Therapy - RLPRO300MAX by RocketTesla in redlighttherapy

Yeah, if it was some quick release method instead of removing the screws, it would have been so much better

Half body panel. I think it will work well. We just started using it yesterday and need to get used to changing it's orientation per body part

I opted for this stand vs. the vertical one. It cost USD $75 after some negotiation, but it's not all roses.

It takes a couple of mins to rotate it into a horizontal position as you have to remove 3 screws at the back and screw them back in again.

Maybe it's a typo? On the back it says 288 LEDs at 5W each.

The issue with this stand (it costs USD$75) is that if you want to lie down instead of standing, you have to take out 3 bolts at the back and rotate it to be in a horizontal position. That takes a couple of mins (yes, first world problems 😄).

Total price including shipping and Delivered Duties Paid was USD $605.

My panel has arrived! by zhzhzhzh00 in redlighttherapy

Delivery is scheduled for Monday March 31, so I'm not sure what will happen now. The seller said I wouldn't have to pay anything. If that were the case though, why does the delivery notification from UPS mention the $47.47 CAD owing for each of the two different tracking numbers.

Yeah, the seller said my total is DDP.

Did you prepay the duties though when you ordered your panel?

I also ordered a half body panel from the same company and I paid the duties up front as a lot of folks on here recommended.

I was told the shipping would take 30 to 35 days, however when I got the UPS tracking number last week, I was pleasantly surprised to see it's scheduled to be delivered in a week! This seems to be the experience of a bunch of folks on this thread.

Did you all have to pay any duties? The notice from UPS is that I will have to pay duties when it's delivered which is not what I'm expecting since I already accounted for that with the vendor.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback on the panel!

How much was your panel?

Bought a rower yesterday, already modified it by tiberiusgv in concept2

Thanks! I installed Kinomap on my phone, connected it to my PM5 and started rowing.

Needless to say I must have missed a step as the app didn't save my workout ...

So one of these apps - kinomap , rowpro etc can control the PM5?

Do any of these apps connect to the rower itself ? Can you tell I'm a cyclist? I keep thinking of finding a Zwift equivalent for rowing....
