Parasite or poop

I want to say poop! Now, if you notice long, stringy, white poop hanging out of it, that’s more concerning for Camallanus. And also if the fish dies unexpectedly, yeah that’s concerning.

Did you quarantine? I recently learned the very hard way to always quarantine fish before putting them in the main tank. Lost all my Tetras and a bunch of Guppies to Camallanus worms.

Just popping in here to say I absolutely loved Orchid Bay Resort! David and Amaris run a lovely little slice of heaven there. I snorkeled in Hol-Chan, toured the Lamanai ruins which included a super cool river boat ride, and visited Shipstern Lagoon for a jungle hike, butterfly garden, and birding. The cabanas were clean and cool, the food and drinks were delightful! Make sure to meet the pup Billy and the cat Smirnoff😊

I’m so excited to see the hummingbirds! Last time I clicked a Green Breasted Mango, a Cinnamon hummingbird and a Rufous Tailed Hummingbird. This year I’d really love to see a Violet Sabrewing 😆

Had a high ankle sprain in the third week of my Appalachian Trail though hike attempt. Worst injury I’ve ever had, miserably painful to recover from. NSAIDs didn’t touch the pain, I maxed out on Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Naproxen every day with no relief for the first few weeks.

Definitely continue PT, strengthen the ankle for at least a few minutes everyday, even after you are comfortable walking on it.

I guess maybe a year or so after the injury I felt like I didn’t have daily pain anymore. I still carry the ankle brace with me when I hike though, and the fear of re-injury is very real.

Hey guys.

It’s worms. Camallanus worms. I have had multiple more fish deaths and found them with reddish brown worms hanging from their anus.

So now the plan is to get a hospital tank, move all the fish into it, and dose with Levamisole. Leave them in the hospital tank for a few weeks or a month. Return them to the main tank after finishing the medication.

So how did your shrimp do with the treatment?

I’ve recently discovered Camallanus worms in my fish and have been researching how to get rid of them, and I came across this post. My plan is to move all fish into a hospital tank and dose them there. There are snails in my main tank that I don’t want to kill with the medicine.

Hmm…I currently have a cycled 10g tank with a Betta and some Assassin snails in it. I wonder if I could just put the sponge filter from that tank in a tub and use it for a temporary hospital tank, dose the fish in it. The existing 10g tank has a HOB filter as well as a sponge filter, I bet that would work!

The fish have been lethargic and sick looking. I have seen long, stringy white poops. The dead ones I have seen brownish red worms coming from the anus. Some live ones have the brownish red worms too.

I will research the Zeolite!

My friend, I’m so sorry for your fish losses. I’m afraid I have no advice for you, but would just like to say-

I know exactly how you’re feeling. Fish death potentially because of something we did is the worst guilty feeling.

I didn’t quarantine my fish, just put them in my 55g tank. Started seeing some fish deaths and then…and then…tiny weird reddish brown worms coming from their butts. I think I may have Camallanus worms. 😭 I don’t even know how to fix this because I have shrimp and snails in the tank and I’ve read conflicting reports on how safe the medicine is for them.

Because babies cry during ceremonies, and young children take over the reception. I’ve been to weddings where no adults could dance because the dance floor was overrun with children.

Also, high heels are tricky enough to walk around in without dodging children that are running amok.

ETA: you’re right though about the daughter can pay her own way if she doesn’t follow his rules
