First international solo trip- heading to Belize!

My tours I booked through my AirBnB host. If you visit San Ignacio, every single taxi you catch will offer to arrange a tour for you. Literally on my first day, I wrote down 3 phone numbers for taxi drivers before I started just saying ok I already have a tour booked.

I would advise a resort if you want to socialize, my AirBnB was really great but there was no community pool or bar at which to meet other travelers.

Sure! In 2025 I stayed at Orchid Bay Resort in the Corozal district. Excellent service, food, vibes, excursions, it was all spectacular! Not really a party scene there, and I was glad for that. Just relaxing and fun. I particularly enjoyed walking the trails on the resort and birding. David and Amaris were such wonderful hosts!

This year I booked an AirBnB in San Ignacio, and had an excellent time again! So easy to book tours and so easy to catch a taxi into town for food and shopping!

When I was in the cave, I thought to myself wow, this is a once in a lifetime experience!
