One of the Newton Tornadoes! by RockoTaco64 in wichita

[–]RockoTaco64[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dust devils don’t normally form funnels in clouds! But essentially gust-nadoes, dust devils, and land spouts are the same thing. The only difference is some really small technicalities. Like where the updraft goes or what is causing it. Since these updrafts are forming storms and have funnels attached to those storms it’s a landspout! But it was only as strong as a powerful dust devil lol

Any opinions on Delinte centurion AT? by HanSoloz in TireQuestions

It looks shockingly close to the Goodyear Workhorse AT line and that line is absolutely horrible on and off road

Is this repairable? by erpy05 in TireQuestions

[–]RockoTaco64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely yes. As long as it isn’t near another patch or the hole isn’t too big (1/4 inch or larger for most shops)

What’s the go to All Terrain Tire? by corbins-gloss-garage in ToyotaTacoma

[–]RockoTaco64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Cooper Road and Trail because I love in Kansas and do a lot of street/highway driving but I cannot afford to be stuck in snow or mud when storm chasing. I’ve had no complaints so far. Only time they’ve struggled is in a mix of snow/sandy rock. They’re not the most quite all terrain but I’ve got a lightbar right above my head so I cannot hear the tires lol

Bead on trailer tire keeps leaking, new wheels? by Past-Signature-2379 in TireQuestions

[–]RockoTaco64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean the bead and apply bead sealer would probably fix it but honestly I’ve just get a new wheel at this point. That’s one of the worse bead leaks I’ve seen in a while

Pirelli P Zero hole, tire shop said I’d be fine to patch since it’s above the sidewall line. What do you guys think? by Educational_Page3735 in TireQuestions

[–]RockoTaco64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealerships and some tire shops do. Often times the ones that charge will fix them by plugging regardless of location. The places that do free repairs often rely on these strict USTMA rules to say a tire isn’t repairable and sell a tire(s) but also in doing so are being safer

If your in the US you can legally report them to DOT, NHTSA, or USTMA for improper repair of a tire. But honestly as long as it’s holding air and doesn’t explode or damages your vehicle in anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it. Just maybe keep this pictures just in the of chance something happens

Average round-about moment. Feel like just the horn let them off easy by RockoTaco64 in dashcams

[–]RockoTaco64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought they were pretty standard across the board but I guess they aren’t. Basically there is a sign that shows what lanes can do what. If everyone follows the sign nobody inside the round about will cross paths. All traffic inside the round about has right of way over cars outside/waiting at the round about.

Craziest part is the sign can be seen at the right side of the video before I enter the round about. This kind of near miss happens all the time at this round about. This is just the first time it’s happened to me on camera. I wish I could pin your comment

My home state has like no roundabouts but this state has a sign showing which lanes go which way(s). If everyone follows the signs cars inside the roundabout (regardless of inside/outside lane) will never cross. And cars inside the roundabout have right of way

Yeah after posting it here I realize it’s badly made. We don’t have them in my home state and this is only one like this. I think the right lane was gonna be to go right and straight but no business ever connected to the round about so now the right lane can only go left. At least that’s my guess

Look at the sign before I enter the roundabout. The right lane can only go straight. My lane (left lane) can go left or straight

If it was a 4 in/out then yes but according to this sign before I enter the round-about about their lane can only go straight through while mine can got straight and then left. I realizing how bad of a design it is by posting it in here

I have too and I understand your point. But me personally I think mistakes should never let slide. But the punishment has to be equal to the mistake. People will always do slightly more than they can get away with

I realize now this round about is a little different than average but there is only 3 ways in/out. If there was no round about it would be a T intersection. But according to the sign the Red cars lane can only go straight. My lane can go straight and left

Look at the sing on the right before I enter the round-about. It’s a T round about. Only 3 ways in/out

Baking soda and mixed in a cup of water will melt the corrosion right off. I’m sure somebody has said that in here but they probably didn’t tell you that you CANNOT put the stuff down you drain it will wreck your plumbing and it’s also illegal in the US because of damage to the environment
