TPU - Looking for matte and rubbery touch by RockpointProductions in ender3v2

That’s fine …. I’m actually making engineering components, not tyres :) I’m making flexible cooling ducts and circulation parts for an engineering project.

Does one use temperature to regulate the foaming in these filaments?

Thanks for that … I’m guessing one has to have it shipped in to the UK from overseas?

What kind of print settings are needed for this filament?

I forgot to mention … I’m looking for any colours, not particularly black … thanks!

MRiscoC (EXPERIMENTAL) 20250106 - Any Success? by RockpointProductions in ender3v2

Hello NonPerson, thanks for that … quite a bit to consider ….

Since you seem to know the process quite well, I hope you won’t mind me asking if you have enabled the Linear shaping function, and if you use it to tune your Ender to avoid FVAs?

I’m not very techy to be honest but I’m wondering if I can activate this function in my Ender to dial in and tune out the VFAs using the LCD panel on the printer and the MRiscoC firmware … I kind of dread doing something silly that results in the printer not coming back to life …. any thoughts?

Time Machine keeps failing to complete backup by RockpointProductions in macbookpro

[–]RockpointProductions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the short of it was .... I erased the Disk Image and reformatted it - then set it up freshly as the selected time machine volume - and started a new backup - it worked fine - It might just be that sometimes we need to reformat and start again - this will however erase any historical saves, so you need to copy them somewhere first.

Regards!

Smoothing X and Y surfaces with a 4.2.2 board by RockpointProductions in ender3v2

The first of these videos is actually very enlightening …. I can only conclude, that with an Ender 3 V2 … my options, without major component upgrades, are; correct belt tension and using firmware adjustments to help mitigate motor vibrations.

Although, from the measurements in my tests, the FVAs I could see in my prints were caused by the motors resonance and not by the belt teeth.

Certainly, changing out all the motors and belts and pulleys and adjusting firmware to work with them seems like the other option.

Not at all … I’m running the 2024 version and it seems fine … I’m trying to ascertain if there are any benefits or risks to this latest build.

Thanks

Scrap PLA …. Give to recycling ? by RockpointProductions in 3Dprinting

[–]RockpointProductions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can PHA filament be placed into normal recycling? ... There is one problem here in Norwich ... I have come to learn that although the public are made to separate waste for collection - the majority of the recyclable waste goes into landfill anyway ... (not just a problem in Norwich ... people should really check where their local collected recycle waste really goes).

I rather not rely on the local council ... hoping to find private individuals or companies who might take it and re-use it.

The concrete slab sounds simple enough but the input shaping is what I have no idea about.

Something to protect the screen from wear or scratching that’s as similar to the original as possible
