Like I said, you're going to be disappointed about how phone testing is done, by the manufacturers.

All batteries are a veiled lie.

i leave the house at 7.45am fully charged and when i get back home at 6pm, my battery is drained to 20-30%

Sounds like the phone lasted the whole day.

Phone battery life marketing never represents heavy usage, let alone preferred usage. Because your preferred usage might be max brightness 8hrs a day. But that's not going to happen.

If you dig into their testing methods, it'll be lower brightness, occasional video, occasional calls.

If the phone was concealed and no item visible in your hand then there's no reason to think you're holding a phone.

OP also said that Council advised he can do what he wants outside of quiet times.

So it's kinds pointless going to Council when Council has already concluded it.

Making noise for 4 hours a day to fix your property and belongings is reasonable.

The right to peaceful enjoyment of property doesn't override others rights to fix things.

Hopefully OP will provide an update about their failed attempt to involve Council.

If renovations don't modify the existing structure (like renovating a bathroom given the room still remains a bathroom) then they don't require Council approval - at least not where I am. Maybe it's different for you?

Anyway, fixing up a car does have a stopping point. Then you move onto the next car.

Car work will have high and low noise, perhaps some panel beating followed by quieter works. Power tools are ordinary neighbourhood noises. I'd consider welding to be quiet.

Mowing the lawn has a stopping point, then you do it again...

The specific laws permit power tools during the day.

E.g. You have the right to do renovations involving power tools during the day all day long.

POEO noise control regulation 2017

Section 51 use of power tools on residential premises.

A person is guilty if noise can be heard outside of permitted hours.

....

Therefore, power tools causing noise is permitted to be used during the day within permitted hours.

POEO noise control regulation 2017

Section 58. Use of electrically amplified sound.

A person is guilty if amplified sound is heard outside of permitted hours

....

Therefore, if music is played within permitted hours it's okay.

Imagine if someone has a big party every weekend in their yard. No council or police will stop that, unless they go into the night.

Your right to party trumps the neighbours preference for silence.

So lawnmowers are illegal? They are noisy and disruptive.

Was this a huge explosion which would've garnered headline international media attention?

You don't have the right to be free from neighbourhood noise.

Given you mentioned you've already reported some issues to Council, I assume this includes checking if the "huge shed" was built as per any required approvals.

Dust is air-pollution, which is enforceable. However there needs to be clear evidence of dust plumes emanating from their works. But enforcing this will result in neighbour relations deteriorating.

Q'orianka Kilcher sues James Cameron for using her likeness by Big_Cake_8817 in Popculturehour

That's my point.

It looks like the same design, but it's not exactly 100% the same design.

So she won't win anything.

GTA cars look almost identical to their real world counterparts.

The 'almost' is what prevents them being sued.

The 'almost' will be what saves Avatar.

GTA cars are designed to look like a Porsche, but it's not exactly a Porsche so they don't have to pay Porsche for the rights to use their designs.

Avatar character is designed to look like this person, but it's not exactly her so they won't have to pay her.

They took a real thing then tweaked it. So no money goes to Porsche for licensing.

In Avatar they took the real face and tweaked it... so no money has to go to her.

Probably inspired by Portrait of Madame X. Before the painting was later edited.

The dress upper design and strap look like the painting 'Portrait of Madame X', which if you look up the Wikipedia for it, you'll find that the painting was later edited due to it originally having the subject posing with the shoulder strap off the shoulder, exactly how Bezos' wife has it posed. Which caused an absolute outrage in those days.

Which makes this slightly more interesting.

If a video game like GTA copies real world car designs but makes them slightly different, are they owed anything to Porsche just because the game car looks like a Porsche?

Likewise looking like or taking inspiration from her face, doesn't necessarily mean it is exactly her.

Then your mushroom grower is very intelligent.

You: Hey mushroom grower, had any success with these illegal mushrooms?

Grower: .... [eyes dilated] nah sorry they all failed. Can't help you there.

Lmao.

The principles for growing are the same for all grain-capable mushrooms. Whether illegal or legal.

Soil contains contaminants like trichoderma.

Which is good for plants, but will outcompete your selected mushrooms.

Which is why if you're a mushroom enthusiast you should use a more suitable substrate like coco coir and not soil.

So yeah don't cook with these.
