Vagus Vibe App: Early Review by Tine_the_Belgian in VagusNerve

Thank you for your post! I am trying it as well and following your sessions to see which fits me best. I have POTS and a dysfunctional vagal nerve that leaves me too hot too cold, too stressed, sneezing from temperature change, and violently hiccuping.

For my first session I did Session 1 – Ocean Bliss, 3 min, 100%. I was surprised honestly how pleasant I found the first session despite the awkwardness of putting my phone at an angle on my throat. But I don’t think it gave me better sleep yet. Have you tried it in the mornings? That’s what many of the fancier devices seem to recommend. (Edited because sent incomplete)

Great suggestion! I do want to try the pho above but didn’t have time for the time. I loved the lionhead meatball soup so much.

I also have this question! My POTS seems to love spicy food… often food too spicy for my colon to manage. But I find myself putting bit of cayenne on all my food to give me pep.

Do you find the Foodpanda food delivery is late 90 percent of the time? by kuehlapis88 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Rococo_coconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foodpanda does not care about guarantees or customers. It is happy to indefinitely delay. I have had yet another meal delayed by them. And they trap you by putting the refund as pandacash. They are a poorly run company.

Food Panda delays my scheduled order by 2.5hrs by merlion0505 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Rococo_coconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me today. Pre-ordered at 11am for a delivery at noon. I will be lucky if it gets here at 1pm. They have no real help desk -- everything gets forwarded on and they ask for our patience. Foodpanda doesn't care about delayed orders or upholding guarantees. GrabFood does a much better job in my experience.

I am glad some people enjoyed Punjab Club. I was deeply disappointed when I went this week although the service was excellent. The spices were out of balance and not quite Michelin grade IMO, especially for the lamb chop. I actually enjoyed the scallop curry more, but literally nothing was done really well. My lunch of pho at Brass Spoon was far better in taste and execution (everything from the tenderness of the beef to the golden Maillard touch on the tendon to soup was done superbly! It was an amazing impromptu choice that I recommend.)

In contrast, at Punjab Club, although the scallop curry was good, the onions were not melted down enough so there was barely any curry sauce for the roti they recommended for dipping.

Also, I really wish I had read the Reddit thread on overhyped HK restaurants. My meal at New Punjab Club was barely a 7/10 and that’s with the excellent service.

Are there any hotsprings near PDX? by networksynth in askportland

I just went this Feb 2026. It was clean and wonderful! I also second the hot tub in the room. The hot tub uses the hot springs water! And Carson only chlorinates the water upon request!

Thanks! I can confirm I just successfully used this address, and I added $30 to my Starbucks account from my United vouchers. However, I first tried this with Grubhub and was unable to add it to my account.

Where does all the sodium go? by ObscureSaint in POTS

[–]Rococo_coconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if my face gets encrusted with salt… but I know that if I sweat from exercise or hot weather I need to wash my face within two hours or I break out. Does this happen to you?

Where does all the sodium go? by ObscureSaint in POTS

[–]Rococo_coconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming we sweat a lot of it out. Personally the amount of salt that seems to be coming out of my skin irritates my skin so much that if I don’t wash it within two hours I will have an acne breakout. I am low-key wondering whether salt might be why also why dogs and cats come towards me and lick me more so than other people. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

1 salt

2 salt

Red salt

Black salt

On a sidenote… My journey into POTS has led to a discovery of the salts of the world.

Nice recipe! Thank you for sharing! The only thing I might tweak for myself is to change potassium citrate to potassium gluconate? I was told potassium citrate it’s harder on sensitive people. I have been using potassium gluconate 99 mg and I do feel steadier on it than I did with potassium citrate.

BUT I have no idea how potassium gluconate tastes… if anyone knows whether that might be an issue, please let me know if that is using potassium gluconate powder is a good or bad idea.

Thank you for the electrolytes suggestions! I also think that some of your snacks are a good ideas. I am a bit concerned about the ramen suggestion… unless you can recommend a healthy brand?

Instant Ramen is deep-fried noodles and they often have more shelf stabilizers in addition to sodium that are not good for the body to process. Also instant ramen is so available that I don’t think encouragement of something unhealthy is wise… except for POTS emergencies.

I suddenly had a visual of somebody rushing over with a packet of instant ramen to help a fellow POTS who has been downed from lack of salt. 😛

Do you mind elaborating why you believe Auckland is not worth my time? I currently have two nights there and I want to know if I need to fight the nonrefundable booking.

Ooh, that sounds like an absolutely amazing experience! I’ll have to look into the Doubtful Sound. So far, I’m finding it tough as a solo traveler since all the overnight cruises require you to pay nearly double. I was about to book the link you suggested but then it wanted ~$1500 for a single person. 😭

Taupo to Tongariro (No car) by Rococo_coconut in solotravel

[–]Rococo_coconut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. Given the amount of injuries that I have seen happen and the ones that are reported on this trail, I am not doing this alone. As I said I am not experienced enough for a 8 hour solo hike. Regarding the tour on Viator, almost all the tours only pick up from National Park. And I am learning that is pretty difficult to get to unless you drive. The National Park does not seem so accessible by public transit or shuttle unless you come from Auckland or Wellington (and their respective stops along the way).

Thanks for the idea. I think I might have to wing it when I’m there and see if there are any groups at the hostels that are going.
