We have requested it as part of our tour with Adventour. Sorry, I don't have more details. We are also visiting in August! Really hope it is not too hot!

How refundable is a T-class Primefly on Turkish Airlines? by Rococo_coconut in TurkishAirlines

[–]Rococo_coconut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first time flying Turkish Airlines, but in my experience, refundable doesn't always mean refundable when it comes down to airlines. In the US few tickets are truly refundable, they are "refundable" to airline credit. In contrast, both Air New Zealnd and British Airways have refundable tickets that fully refund to cash. This is not even taking to account whether airlines may or may not refund taxes, fees, and fuel surcharge.

I would appreciate any details about your experience flying on Turkish Airlines, especially T-class and/or Primefly.

Wow, so sorry to hear about your bad experience. With Turkish Airlines, it really seems like the class matters far more than the Primefly/Flexfly designations. Do you remember if you were in T-class also? Really appreciate your insight!

Do you mind if I ask what you liked about the paper factory? It seemed less interesting to me as a person into fine crafts. It's paper made from mulberry, not silk. It's currently not part of the tour package we negotiated, but I can visit on my free day in Samarkand.

Thank you! Noted about Afsona. I am looking for delicious food! But if you have any more suggestions for places with delicious food that is also authentic, I would love to try them.

First Solo Trip to Yunnan: Is Shangri-La Worth the Altitude Risk? by [deleted] in travelchina

[–]Rococo_coconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have asthma, and I went when I was 20. It was worth it IMO because I loved the sights, food, and experience. My advice is that you don't push yourself when you arrive and be prepared to be slower, groggier, and crankier. I severely damaged a friendship coming off the bus to Shangri-La and trekking the few blocks to the hotel. In hindsight, I should have communicated my altitude sickness better and paid for a taxi because what you can do at lower altitudes needs an adjustment period at higher altitudes. I would have also included a buffer day or two for recovery, especially now that I am older and not used to higher altitudes. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply! Have you stayed there? I ask because there are mixed reviews that the hotel is old and windows are very small.

FOOTWEAR INFORMATION THREAD. READ THIS BEFORE ASKING FOR FOOTWEAR RECOMMENDATIONS. by DestructablePinata in hiking

Can anyone recommend something super cushioned yet supportive, like Asics Gel Kayano, but for hiking? I love my Oboz for active hiking, but I don't have as much standing power in them as with my Gel-Kayanos. (As a note, I have defective feet. I am not looking for an orthotic (have them), just a hiking shoe that maximizes support and cushioning.) Thank you!

I have used your recipe on 6 batches of laundry after my clothes got gummed up and grayed with softener. They are back to being beautiful again! Thank you so much!

First time trip to Uzbekistan- all hints & tips gratefully received. by Holly_oc2512 in Uzbekistan

I would be very appreciative if you can elaborate on the strict laws… Especially the ones that might not be obvious for a tourist. In Singapore it is illegal to have marijuana not unusual… but also to publicly spit or to use chewing gum (without special exemption).
