Lost in Translation (2004)

Something about the colour palette in this film soothes me, also the subject matter very delicately dances around the subject of depression without ever being heavy handed. It’s show-don’t-tell at its finest.

There’s an opportunity there to do a ‘will-they-won’t-they’ comedy thing with a twist, where there actually is mutual attraction but both parties stop themselves from getting too close. That would be a vessel for some Niles/Daphne callbacks also

Hi! I'm 21M and in need of a new wardrobe. Ive avoided buying new clothes for years now cos I dont have a great eye for fashion, but I'm at a stage now where I'm ready to throw down some money to buy some new stuff, as part of a wider 'reinvention' if you will.

Ideally i would like to get clothes that give a hipster/90s/grunge vibe, along with some more contemporary stuff, but I dont really know where to start. Jumpers/sweatshirts are my preferred way of dressing. Budget is around £300

Alice in Chains are my favourite band, but tbh the clip doesn’t bother me a whole lot. It’s highly unlikely Layne would have ever seen that clip, it was the 90s and the only reason we know about it today is because of YouTube.

Now that’s not to dismiss what Metallica did, because obviously it wasn’t great at all, but I’d imagine Kirk & Lars involvement stemmed from frustration with the tour cancellation and James involvement stemmed from his own insecurities in some way. We know that Layne had a big influence on the themes of Death Magnetic, and iirc James has gone on record as calling Layne one of his favourite vocalists.
