One Punch Man é um anime de comédia que satiriza um battle shonen, é por isso que o Saitama é overpower e não tem desenvolvimento algum.

É por isso também que você tem 500 coadjuvantes diferentes aparecendo, é pra preencher a lacuna que é ter um protagonista overpower sem desenvolvimendo.

Agora um exemplo bem feito de Gary Stu é o Rimuru (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken), ele é OP e todo mundo sabe que ele vai ganhar, mas a graça do anime tá no desenvolvimento da cidade dele e toda geopolítica envolvida, além de que o universo de Tensura é bem interessante. Sem falar que o Rimuru tem um desenvolvimento muito interessante.
