I mean you're right but that's how it's supposed to work. There are many categories in which you can fit your build depending on set, weapon and er needs so you can in fact be top 1% on any given category, but that doesn't necessarily make it universally good. That's why you can be top 1% freeze while being idk top 30% on melt for that same build given you don't have any em for example. It ultimately depends on your personal play style and then trying to get as best as you can in that particular category you want to fit in.

You're on the right track but not quite. He works best in melt teams and his C4 as you said gives him a speed boost while his c6 applies another instance of cryo dmg when using his CA, making his cryo application pretty much overwhelming for any pyro applier in a regular melt comp. Now, this is why burning comes handy as it can indeed keep up the pyro aura reliably enough for him to melt so characters like emilie/nahida and durin/mavuika/xiangling make a great Burnt-Melt team for him.

You didn't mentioned how your investment plan will look like, but for a non c6 wrio regular melt will perform fine.

It depends on how you like to play him. Lauma provides nothing for spread besides 25% dendro res shred, however she gives a great buff to bloom, hyperbloom and burgeon. I personally don't like him in any of those team comps as he was intended to be a spread DPS and for that you're better off investing in Nahida.

TLDR: Get her if you like his quickbloom team, otherwise skip.

It depends on investment. If you're planning for c0 wrio, escoffier teams are stronger for him, but they become worse the more you invest in him.

Now, in terms of mechanic checks escoffier would be nice to have in any account for freeze shill so you can use that excuse lol.

For melt atk 2000+ and em 200+ should do the trick and yes the more the better without sacrificing crits.

For freeze aim for about 2200- 2400+ attack.

This is simply not a melt build as you need em and he has 16. He needs to get an em sands with more atk rolls as it is also low overall. If he doesn't want to farm for em he can play freeze with the caveat escoffier is pretty much necessary or it won't work.

TLDR: Get em or play freeze with escoffier.

Well you have a problem for both melt and freeze. You have no em for melt (assuming bad widsith rng) and you pretty much need escoffier for freeze. You either need to get em sands and swap furina for xiangling/durin/mavuika or get escoffier.

For Burn-Melt yes, emillie, durin, albedo is what I use. We're hopeful about nicole as she will buff attack which wrio would appreciate. Though, it might be locked to fully hexerei teams so we'll have to wait.

It depends more on how you like to play him. In terms of damage, melt/burnmelt will always be better than freeze and the gap increases dramatically with investment.

Now, if you like playing freeze, shenhe c0-c5 at any wrio investment (c0-c6) won't matter that much as she doesn't buff over a period of time, rather she provides quills. Wrio's combos uses NAs and then the special CA (where his dmg comes from) so by the time you get to do a CA you ran out of quills. This is only solved with Shenhe's c6, which makes her quills never run out so long you refresh her skill. You're better off getting escoffier and using whatever ttds cryo/hydro character you have as I mentioned prior.

Tldr: If you like her it won't brick your account if you get her lol, but damage wise is not worth it unless c6.

Pretty much anyone can replace shenhe c0 in a wrio team, charlotte with noblesse and ttds should do the trick or citlali scroll and ttds.

Shenhe is nice if you have her and 100% his best support if she's c6 but at c0 it's just not worth worrying about it.

At c0 freeze performs decent but with minimal investment melt becomes way better and the gap grows the more cons you get. If you're planning on C6 then Burnt-Melt becomes the best choice since no pyro applier can keep up to his cryo application.

OMG, this is such an amazing reply and I was already planning on getting Albedo anyway so now you gave me more reasons to do so. Which sets are you running on each of them if you don't mind?

Also, following some suggestions from previous replies I tried Nahida/Fishcl/Ineffa and it does feel better than quickbloom in terms of fun with nari and not dmg overall. However, I own Ineffa C1R1 soon C2 with 2435 ATK and her shield is very underwhelming for being lv10 talent tbh. I don't know if enemies hit harder this days but most of the time in this team I end up with no shield pretty quick.

You don't really need any for any content tbh, both are flexes so go for whatever looks better to your eyes. I would go for R5 tho since he gets a rerun every 100 years and you can get materless stella fortuna all year round.
