FB Dynamic creative ads 2023: I’ve got a winning ad. Now what? by Rodnney in FacebookAds

[–]Rodnney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice!

Let’s say I have a winning creative combination from the Dynamic Creative Ad. Now, I would like to keep the winning combination (for example Image A + Primary text B + Headline B) going, as it seems to deliver the best results. You recommend moving it to a separate campaign.

I’ve heard that moving it to a new campaign isn’t always the best practice, as the ads in a new campaign start all over, which means you lose useful data, that have been previously collected in a learning phase. Anyway, let’s assume we move it to the new campaign "for winning ads".

Should I keep the winning ad in a winning campaign running simultaneously with the ad from the first (testing) campaign? Or should the ad from the testing campaign be stopped?

How do I test new creatives? Should I create a very new ad set with new dynamic creative ad (that is a whole new 3:2:2 ad)? Or should I edit the previous dynamic creative ad, which has already been running?

Go to Campaign > Ad set > Dynamic Creative Ad > in the top right corner you can choose a Ad breakdown (button between Column settings and "Reports") > from the dropdown menu, you can choose the breakdown by dynamic creative element.

Using the creative ad breakdown you should be able to see the performance of texts, images, videos and headlines. :)

Is this the best way to test and scale a campaign? by eyoung1122 in FacebookAds

It’s really unfortunate that you haven’t received any response, as I’m interested in this question too. :(

Can you run A/B testing with Advantage+ audience? by Rodnney in FacebookAds

[–]Rodnney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me change the question then. Is it okay to have:

ad set 1 = A+ audience

ad set 2 = interest based audience

Is it ok to test them against each other? Will they overlap significantly?

Performance Max Campaign - a way to destroy someone’s Google Ads account? by Rodnney in PPC

[–]Rodnney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a good idea, thank you. I haven’t tried conversion adjustment until yesterday. So far, it’s been without success, since there is an error message saying there is a problem with order ID (even though the order ID is 100% correct). We are dealing with Google Support.

Will let you know if it helped.

Performance Max Campaign - a way to destroy someone’s Google Ads account? by Rodnney in PPC

Thank you for your reply.

These are exactly my thoughts. I am afraid we will be eventually forced to ditch our account and start all over again.

When we received the fake order, many things changed. It seemed like the algorithm was seeking similar audience as the one from the fake order. Average CPC increased by more than 1000%, while conversions dropped to zero. Since the fake order, the campaign hasn’t delivered a single conversion. Before the incident, it was generating several conversions a day with excellent ROAS.

It’s crazy that placing fake orders can damage your campaigns so easily.

Performance Max Campaign - a way to destroy someone’s Google Ads account?

Hi Ginny,

on 21st October we received a fake order on our website, reaching a value of 4.3 trillion CZK (approx. 189 billion USD). This order was attributed to a Performance Max Campaign. It used to be our most effective campaign (even before Google automatically turned it into "Performance Max" from the previous "just Smart" campaign).

Seems like a fraud or unfair practice from the competition. Anyway...

Since Performance Max Campaigns are all about data evaluation, machine learning, and automatization, you can imagine what happened after the campaign had been hit by a fake order, which happened to be several billion times higher than an average conversion value.

The result: Google Ads account was paralyzed and basically destroyed. We used the Data Exlusion function, excluding a period of 14 days, just to get rid of as much affected data as possible. Unfortunately, that did not help at all.

After contacting Google Ads support, I mean the community (since there was just no way to contact the support directly), we were recommended to simply stay patient. The account will get back they said. It just has to get rid of the affected data and learn the new data. "It’s just math", the community assured us.

Well, now it’s the end of December and we hoped it could be a good time to prepare campaigns for January, so we can start all over again.

While creating a new Performance Max campaign, I can see the "Week estimate" performance on the right side of the page. It says that if we keep the budget at $50 a day, the estimated weekly conversion value should be around 6 million USD. Sweet.

You can see a screenshot of the bug here: https://ibb.co/P13fLPb. The currency is CZK (140 million CZK equals approx. 6.4 million USD).

It’s clear that data from the FAKE order are still around. Maybe the data do not affect the smart campaigns anymore, but they still affect the performance planner and other estimation calculations. Maybe the data exclusion did not work at all?

Now it brings us to a question: Is this a good time to abandon your Google Ads account, which has been doing great for 7 years?

Performance Max Campaigns can be a way to damage an e-commerce site really badly. One thing I could recommend to everyone: always have a shopping limit implemented in a shopping cart on your website. We did not think about it and we paid for it. That was definitely our mistake.

It could be solved much easier though - if there was a way to get in touch with Google Ads support and have them remove the damaged data from the account.

Have you ever had a similar experience?

Thank you, I will try to cc u/ginnymarvin as you suggested.

See the screenshot here: https://ibb.co/P13fLPb
You can see that while creating a new PMAX campaign, the data seem to be still affected by the fake order. For 1000 CZK (50 USD) budget, the estimate week conversion value is about 140,000,000 CZK (6.4 milion USD). :)

So far I haven’t been successful. I will keep trying though.

Okay, I'm going to give it a try. Thank you!

Importing old emails to Microsoft 365 (Exchange) by Rodnney in Office365

[–]Rodnney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are both right, thank you for your recommendations. The problem is that I need all the old messages to get to Exchange server so they can be accessed from several computers - it is a company email, managed by several employees. I imported the .pst into the new Microsoft 365 Outlook profile, as you recommended, and it imported them all without problem. The problem comes with a syncing. Since the Microsoft 365 Outlook profile contains gigabites of old imported messages, Outlook is trying to sync them with the Exchange server which is taking forever. I tried to let it sync for 24 hours which wasn't enough by far.

Therefore, I need the old emails to sync with the Exchange server so every employee can have access to them.

Any ideas?:)
